As Beijing speeds up its pace of building a world city with Chinese characteristics, the internationalization level of capital women folk diplomacy also keeps rising. On the morning of May 13, Beijing Women's Federation held a fellowship activity themed on "Feeling Chinese Culture, Building Happy Families - Chinese and Foreign Sisters in Beijing Spending International Family Day Together" at the Women and Children Social Service Center in Beijing. About 70 female ambassadors or ambassadresses and their family members from 22 countries including Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Indonesia, Oman and Congo (DRC) gathered together and celebrated the 19th International Family Day with family representatives from diplomatic parties and mass groups in Beijing. Activities on this day were colorful and brilliant, and divided into 5 parts, namely, interpretation and interaction for Chinese tea art, demonstration and exchange of Chinese calligraphy and painting, Chinese cooking show, parent-child games such as kicking shuttlecock and playing diabolo and demonstration of Beijing Smart Lady Studio products.
