On March 20, the Beijing Women’s Federation (BWF) convened its 2025 work conference on comprehensive and strict governance of the Party (Party building) and launched the inaugural session of the Party members’ lecture series. The conference, presided over by Zhang Yajun (Secretary of the BWF Party leadership group and BWF President), aimed to thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles from the plenary sessions of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, while also conveying the key directives from the municipal Party work conference and the discipline inspection work conference.

At the conference, Ma Yan, Head of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office stationed at the Beijing Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, conveyed and elaborated on the key principles of the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) and the fourth plenary session of the 13th Beijing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection. Zhao Hongwei, Deputy Secretary of the BWF Party leadership group and BWF Vice President, presented the directives from the municipal Party work conference and the discipline inspection work conference, summarized past efforts, and outlined plans to further advance comprehensive and strict Party governance.

The conference emphasized the imperative of thoroughly studying and understanding General Secretary Xi Jinping’s key directives to ensure that BWF’s thoughts and actions fully align with the decisions and plans of the CPC Central Committee. It also called for advancing the comprehensive and strict Party governance to provide a strong institutional guarantee for BWF’s high-quality development. Furthermore, the conference stressed the need to prioritize a high-standard, high-quality Party-wide education campaign to implement the CPC Central Committee’s “eight-point decision” on improving work conduct, aiming to mobilize collective efforts toward future goals. Attendees were urged to renew their commitment, give their utmost effort, and remain fully focused on achieving all annual targets.

At the conference, representatives from the BWF who received the March 8th Red Banner Medal and Red Banner Collective honors, along with members of the seventh cohort of village-based first secretaries commended by the Beijing Municipal Party Committee Organization Department and the Municipal Rural Work Committee, delivered speeches at the inaugural session of the 2025 Party members’ lecture series. The event was attended by over 80 participants, including members of the BWF Party leadership group, bureau-level officials, all Party members and officials from Beijing’s sub-center, and leadership members from public institutions.
