Beijing Women's Federation

Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) held a training session for its cadres responsible for Party affairs in Beijing Women and Children's Exchanges Center on August 10. The training session was designed to study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, act on the spirit of the 13th Beijing Municipal Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), strengthen the capacity building of members of BWF’s Party committee and discipline inspection committee, secretaries of Party branches, and all Party workers, setting the stage for the convocation of the upcoming 20th National Congress of the CPC. The Leading Party Group of the BWF attached great importance to the training session. Li Xiangfu, an inspector of the BWF, presided over the training session. Over 40 people attended the training.

 

A training session is held by Beijing Women's Federation to strengthen the capacity building of its Party workers.

At the invitation of BWF, Sun Ning, a researcher from the Beijing Party-building Research Base affiliated with the Party School of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC, explained to trainees about the original aspiration of Party members and their responsibilities in the new era through an interpretation of the life journey of Liu Shaoqi (1898-1969), a late Party and state leader and interpretation of Liu’s book on how to be a qualified communist. Jiang Jieni, a worker from the organization department of the working committee for departments directly under the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, gave a lecture on fostering a group of high-caliber Party members and cadres and improving the quality of Party-building affairs from the perspectives of the admission of new Party members, the education and management of Party members, the implementation of Party organizations’ regular activities, care and assistance to Party members, the collection and usage of Party membership fees.

The Party committee of the BWF conveyed the spirit of a keynote speech delivered by the General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping, also Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, at a study session of provincial and ministerial-level officials, which was held from July 26 to 27 in Beijing, the 13th Beijing Municipal Party Congress and recent circulars issued by the working committee for departments directly under the Beijing Municipal Party Committee. It also summed up the work on the supervision of Party branches standardization progress in the first half of this year and gave an interpretation of the Manual for the Work of Party Branches.

 

Two lectures are given during the training session.

 

Trainees said that the event helped them better grasp the policies and decisions made by the CPC Central Committee and the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and consolidate their sense of responsibility and mission in Party building. They will resolutely carry out BWF’s plans on Party building work and constantly improve their work.
