Youth Empowerment, Women’s Brilliance: 2024 BWF Young Cadres Training Program Concludes Successfully
Date:2024-12-25 10:17:09 Views:From December 18 to 20, the Organization Department of the Beijing Women’s Federation (BWF), in collaboration with the Beijing Women Cadres School, organized a three-day training program for young staff members.
The program aimed to foster a team of high-caliber, professional, and politically committed cadres with strong skills and work ethics, seeking to enhance their sense of responsibility and mission in women and children’s affairs while strengthening their capabilities and performance to meet the new requirements for such work in the capital under the new era.
The event brought together nearly 40 young cadres aged 35 and under, including recent recruits from the past two years, from BWF, its affiliated public institutions, and women’s federations across 16 districts.

It opened with a unique ice-breaking activity that quickly eased trainees’ initial unfamiliarity. Experts were invited to deliver lectures on a range of topics, including the implementation of national policies on gender equality, Beijing’s economic and social development, latest advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), and career development pathways for young cadres.

Liu Zuoli, Director of the Strategic Planning Research Department at the Beijing Institute of Economic and Social Development, gave a lecture on Beijing’s economic and social development, providing trainees with a deeper understanding of the city’s macroeconomic landscape.
Feng Xue, a researcher at the Beijing Institute for General Artificial Intelligence, presented the latest advancements in AI and its applications, highlighting the challenges and opportunities posed by this cutting-edge technology.
The curriculum emphasized the integration of theory and practice, combining classroom lectures with on-site learning to empower trainees with practical and well-rounded knowledge.

In addition to lectures, the training program adopted various formats to enhance its effectiveness and enrich trainees’ experience. These included case studies, on-site teaching, group discussions, and Q&A sessions. A key highlight was a special session titled “Women Exemplary Figures of the Capital,” featuring Luo Yangyang, head of the Blue Sky Rescue Team’s branch in Doudian Township, Fangshan District, and Gu Jiaqi, Assistant Director of the Interventional Oncology Department at Beijing Mentougou District Hospital. They shared heartfelt stories from their professional experiences, illustrating their dedication and contributions. Their accounts of resilience and strength deeply moved the trainees, leaving a lasting impact.

The on-site teaching session extended learning beyond the classroom to the Xiangshan Museum of Founding of New China, a revolutionary education base. During the visit, trainees immersed themselves in the Party’s glorious history and revolutionary spirit, gaining profound political education, which reinforced their commitment to advancing the cause of women and children’s welfare.

During the group discussion session, trainees drew from their training and professional experiences, and engaged in lively and in-depth discussions on how to improve their skills and better implement strategies to advance the reform of women’s federations, sparking innovative ideas and significantly improving their capabilities.

In the Q&A session, six representatives shared reflections and key takeaways from the training program, offering diverse perspectives grounded in their professional practices. Zhao Hongwei, Vice President of the BWF, had a discussion with the young cadres and commended them for their learning achievements. She also encouraged them to expand their horizons, deepen their understanding, and embrace challenges, urging them to shoulder their responsibility and actively contribute in their roles.
