Businesswoman and successful Chinese entrepreneur Qin Jun attended a female entrepreneurship salon in the Zhongguancun startup district of Beijing on March 10, to offer her advice and share her unique story.

The gathering was co-hosted by the Publicity Department of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and Beijing Women's Federation, and co-sponsored by Beijing Women's International Exchange Center and the China Investor Association. It was part of a series of talks titled "Beauty of Women."

Qin, president of investment firm Junzi Capital, was a special guest at the event, at which more than 40 local women representative from all walks of life were present. Zhou Zhijun, vice-president of Beijing Women's Federation, presided over the meeting.

Qin, who is also president of China Investor Association and founder of Tsinghua Technology & Innovation Holdings Co., has been involved in the development, construction and operation of science parks since 2000. In January, she claimed the title of the March 8th Red-Banner holder through the recommendation of Beijing Women's Federation.

As a renowned investor, Qin shared her experience in the industry and offered tips on how to gain a successful career and a happy family. She also exchanged thoughts on the advantages and challenges confronting female business-starters.

When asked how to deal with various difficulties during the startup process, she suggested, "At first, women must stay calm and adopt a composed mentality. Second, when you feel a great risk coming, you must learn to ask for help. And finally, you should persist in innovation and implementation with a down-to-earth attitude."

The latest activity was designed to provide an international exchange platform, and help more women realize their value to contributing more to economic development and social progress, said organizers.
