It is with great pleasure and honor that We are celebrating in the coming days the International Women's Day on 8th of March, which is conceding this year with the celebration of two major events, namely the 5th anniversary of the Global Leader's Meeting on Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment and the 25th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing.
I take this opportunity to convey, on my own name and on behalf of the Arab Ambassadors Spouses Group, to You Personally and to the members of the Beijing Women's Federation our sincere congratulations and best wishes for more success, progress and happiness.
Allow me also to express our deep admiration for the statute that Chinese women are enjoying at all levels of the society.
Even though that we will not be able to celebrate together this year the International Women's Day as we have usually done in the past, due to the spread of the Covid-19, We would like to take this opportunity to express, as a group, our admiration for the effective measure that have been taken by the Chinese authorities to tackle the spread of the virus.
We are confident that China will overcome shortly the spread of the novel corona-virus epidemic.
