Wu Yixian is a professor with Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) and director of the Department of Macromolecular Engineering in the BUCT School of Materials Science and Engineering.
Wu is committed to the research and development of polymer materials. She has successfully acquired core technologies with independent intellectual property rights and achieved industrial application of her research findings. Wu has obtained about 140 invention patents at home and abroad, published over 160 research papers and won two second prizes of the State Technological Innovation Award. She has also won the China Youth Science and Technology Award, the achievement award of Hou Debang Chemical Science and Technology Award, and the honorary title of “young and middle-age experts with extraordinary contributions.”
During the forum, Wu attends the round-table talk and shares her insights about how to fully leverage women's strength in sci-tech innovation and create a better life with science and technology.
