BWF Holds Conference on Party History Learning and Education Campaign

Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) holds a conference on its Party history learning and education campaign on March 12.

 

The Beijing Women's Federation's (BWF) held a conference on March 12, urging Party members to study the speech on Party history learning by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, as well as the circular issued by the CPC Central Committee.

 

Zhao Hongwei, Member of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President of BWF, acted as chair, and Zhang Yajun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and President of Beijing Women's Federation (BWF), also attended the event.

 

Participants learned about the important speech which was made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the launch of a Party history learning and education campaign, as well as the speech made by Cai Qi, Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, at a Beijing municipal conference organized in response to this campaign.

 

Under the guidance of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), BWF mobilized and deployed a Party history learning and education campaign at the conference.

 

Zhang gave a speech at the conference. She emphasized that Party members should be conscientious in learning about the Party's history and understand that this education campaign is a necessary requisite of urging Party members to remember the original mission, consolidating Party members' ideological foundation, realizing strict governance over the Party and carrying on BWF's red traditions to unite women in the new journey.

 

Zhang called for learning Party history with different areas of focus, including the great theoretical achievement of the Party in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context; the laws of historical development; the Party's nature and mission; the Party's precious experience in revolution, construction and reform; the revolutionary spirit; and the Party's solidarity and centralized unification and great contribution to the country and nation.

 

Zhang believes that the campaign is an important part of the Party's political life, and that it's necessary to implement personal and collective education activities. In particular, that BWF should use innovative methods and take actions to solve practical problems for women. She said the campaign should become a practice of promoting the high-quality development of women in the capital and a way to celebrate the Party's 100th anniversary.

 

Members of the BWF leadership, bureau-level leaders, directors and deputy directors of various departments and offices and affiliated institutions, all attended the conference.

The BWF will arrange concentrated learning in the form of a central learning group (expanded), taking Party branches as units to carry out the learning campaign through self-study, seminars, themed activities and visits. The BWF will also take actions to solve women's practical problems and carry out Party history publicity and education for women, children and families, to ensure the campaign achieves solid results.
