Recently, Hong Kong members of the Executive Committee of the Beijing Women’s Federation (BWF) held a study and sharing session to discuss the guiding principles of the Two Sessions.

At the event, Pansy Ho—a member of the Standing Committees of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF), and the BWF—highlighted the Report on the Work of the Government’s emphasis on “investing in people,” noting its potential to benefit women. She urged women to actively support and promote key national policies, while encouraging the younger generation to build confidence and a strong sense of purpose. Meng Lihong, a member of the CPPCC National Committee and BWF Standing Committee, described her participation in the Two Sessions as marked by “high attendance, high efficiency, and high quality.” She affirmed her commitment to fulfilling her civic duties and contributing to Hong Kong’s prosperity and stability. Wen Yingyi, deputy to the National People’s Congress (NPC) and a member of the BWF Executive Committee, used artificial intelligence tools to extract ten keywords from the Report on the Work of the Government. She shared her insights on the integration of technology and culture and expressed her determination to continue strengthening cultural confidence and telling China’s stories well to the world.

The session was chaired by Zhou Qianyi, a member of the BWF Executive Committee. Hong Kong members of the committee actively participated in in-depth discussions on how to better mobilize the power of women to deepen exchanges and cooperation among women in key areas between Beijing and Hong Kong, ultimately contributing to the high-quality development of both cities through women’s collective strength.
