Demonstration Training Program for Leaders of Women’s Federations in Emerging Fields Successfully Held

To thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and to fully carry out General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important statements on women and children and the work of women’s federations, as well as his keynote speech at the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women, a Demonstration Training Program for Leaders of Women’s Federations in Emerging Fields was successfully held from December 15 to 16.

The program was jointly organized by the Department for Grassroots Organization Construction of the Beijing Women’s Federation (BWF) and the Beijing Women Cadres School. A total of 55 participants attended the specialized training, including leaders of women’s federation organizations in emerging fields and industry associations from various districts.

Zhao Hongwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President of the BWF, attended the opening ceremony. He delivered the opening lecture, entitled Development of Women and Children’s Work and the Women’s Federations in the Capital.

Training Session Highlights

 

Focusing on the practical needs of women’s federation organizations in emerging fields, the training program covered topics such as the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the development of women’s and children’s work. It also addressed the work of women’s federations in the capital, capacity building of women’s federation organizations in emerging fields, and women’s physical and mental health.

The program aimed to further enhance the leadership, organizational capacity, and service capabilities of women’s federations in emerging fields. It also sought to empower women working in these sectors and deepen participants’ understanding of the vital role played by women’s federations. Participants were encouraged to innovate in advancing women’s and children’s work within their respective sectors and organizations.

Jiang Xiuhua, Research Fellow at the Women’s Studies Institute of the All-China Women’s Federation, delivered a lecture titled Advancing the Development of Women’s Federation Organizations in Emerging Fields under the Guidance of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.

Liu Yang, Associate Chief Physician at Chuiyangliu Hospital Affiliated with Tsinghua University, presented Grasping the Rhythm of Life and Unleashing Vitality—How to Better Focus on Women’s Health in Emerging Fields.

 

During the training, participants engaged in group discussions centered on “How to Better Leverage the Role of Women’s Federation Organizations in Emerging Fields.” Trainees from different professional backgrounds shared practical experiences in organizational development, fostering dynamic exchanges of ideas and best practices. They demonstrated strong enthusiasm for learning and a high sense of responsibility.

During the on-site teaching session, participants visited the China National Museum of Women and Children. They explored the exhibition Achievements in Empowering Women and Girls Through Digital and Intelligent Technologies. Through vivid and informative displays, they gained a clearer and deeper understanding of China’s accomplishments in promoting gender equality and the comprehensive development of women and girls through digital and intelligent empowerment.

 

On-site Sharing

During the discussion session, Li Yang, Deputy Director of the Women’s Committee of Female Broadcasters in Fengtai District; Jin Lina, Director of the Women’s Working Committee of the Lawyers’ Industry in Xicheng District; and Guan Chunhong, Director of the Women’s Working Committee of the Chaoyang District Federation of Industry and Commerce and Party Secretary of Aimer Co., Ltd., spoke as representatives of the participants.

They highlighted initiatives undertaken in their respective fields and organizations in recent years, including strengthening the development of women’s federation organizations, caring for female employees, building cultural brands, and contributing professional expertise to society. Drawing on group discussions and training insights, they reflected on how women’s federation cadres can better fulfill their roles in organizational development within emerging fields.

Participant Representatives’ Remarks 

Participants widely agreed that the training was precise and effective, offering rich and diverse content. They expressed their commitment to applying what they have learned by conscientiously implementing the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the Seventh Plenary Session of the 13th Beijing Municipal Party Committee. They also pledged to fully leverage the institutional strengths of women’s federations, carry out activities to guide, connect, and serve women, and promote the high-quality development of women’s initiatives in the capital.
