Nearly 60 representatives attended the event, including members of women’s professional organizations from the Municipal Political and Legal Affairs Commission, the Social Development Affairs Committee of the Beijing Municipal People’s Congress, as well as representatives from the police, procuratorates, courts, and judicial administration system. Participants also included staff from the Beijing Mediation Association, the Beijing Anti-Domestic Violence Research Base and its practice bases, along with lawyers, experts, and scholars.

The Beijing Women’s Federation extended holiday greetings to women legal professionals and called on them to address challenges through coordinated governance, explore more replicable and scalable “Beijing practices,” and promote legal awareness so they may learn, understand, observe, and apply the law. The Federation also encouraged continued reform and innovation, advocating forward-looking perspectives and practical measures to build a broader, faster-responding, and more effective framework for protecting the rights and interests of women and children, and to jointly chart a new vision for rights protection.

Representatives of women police officers, prosecutors, judges, lawyers, and marriage mediators discussed topics including the prevention and resolution of marital and family disputes and the protection of the rights and interests of women and children. They shared professional insights and experiences, vividly demonstrating how women legal professionals in the capital uphold the dignity of the law, safeguard fairness and justice, and promote social harmony.
Through both principled legal reasoning and compassionate wisdom, they support vulnerable groups and embody the commitment to protecting the people through the rule of law. Through mutual exchange and learning, participants broadened their perspectives and strengthened consensus, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of initiatives for women and children in the capital.
