On the morning of May 13, Zhou Zhijun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of the Beijing Women’s Federation, visited Haidian District to conduct a special research visit on digital and intelligent empowerment of domestic services, innovative applications of artificial intelligence, and integrated community-based elderly care and domestic service initiatives.

At Beijing Xiaoxiong Meijia Technology Co., Ltd., Zhou learned in detail about the company’s efforts to promote the development of digitally empowered domestic services through its internet-based domestic services platform. She commended the company for providing one-stop digital upgrading solutions for domestic service providers and for advancing quality improvement and capacity expansion within the industry. She emphasized the need to further deepen the integration of digital technologies with the domestic services sector, improve service standards and professional skills, and promote the healthy development of the industry to better meet the diverse service needs of families in the capital.

At the Beijing Institute for General Artificial Intelligence, Zhou held discussions with Dong Le, Executive Vice-President of the institute and part-time Vice-President of the Beijing Women’s Federation, on topics including progress in general artificial intelligence research and development, integrated planning for education, science and technology, and talent cultivation, as well as the development of collaborative innovation platforms linking academia, research, industry, and practical application. She also toured exhibitions featuring embodied robotics and advanced cognitive AI achievements, and watched a demonstration by the general AI agent “TongTong.” Zhou encourages people to leverage Beijings strengths in scientific and technological innovation to accelerate the application and commercialization of AI technologies. She added that the Beijing Women’s Federation would continue supporting women scientists and technologists in contributing to the development of new quality productive forces.

In Xiaonanzhuang Community under the Haidian Subdistrict, Zhou examined the community’s collaboration with property management companies in exploring an integrated “property management + elderly care + domestic services” service model. The model has established an operational mechanism featuring Party-building leadership, property management-based coordination, and professional support, while focusing on the needs of elderly residents, especially those of advanced age or living alone. Through this model, the community provides comprehensive services such as meal assistance, household cleaning, and errand services. She stressed the importance of strengthening multi-party coordination, improving domestic service standards, and continuing to build an affordable, safe, and inclusive community elderly care system that enhances residents’ sense of fulfillment, happiness, and security.

During the visit, Zhou emphasized that Haidian District possesses abundant sci-tech innovation resources and a solid foundation in grassroots governance. She called on women’s federations at both the municipal and district levels to strengthen coordination and better fulfill their role as bridges and links between the Party and women. She said that women’s federations should focus on addressing the urgent concerns of women, children, and families by using digital and intelligent empowerment, technological innovation, and grassroots innovation as key drivers. She also called for the identification and promotion of exemplary models to strengthen demonstration and guidance efforts, advance the expansion and upgrading of women-led domestic services, improve the quality and efficiency of community services, and contribute women’s strength to the capital’s high-quality development.

Also participating in the research activities were Lei Xiaoning, member of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Vice-President of the BWF, along with Yue Li, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Haidian District Committee, Sun Xiaoyong, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of the District Bureau of Commerce, Wen Sijun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Director of the District Civil Affairs Bureau, and Liu Lan, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and President of the District Women’s Federation, among others.
