To further study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era (hereinafter referred to as Xi Jinping Thought), solidly advance education on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements, and strengthen coordination between municipal and district women’s federation work, the Beijing Women’s Federation organized officials from municipal and district women’s federations to visit the Jinghua Practice Classroom of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era at the Party School of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee on the afternoon of May 14. A joint study and Party-building activity on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements was carried out during the visit.

Zhou Zhijun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of the Beijing Municipal Women’s Federation, attended the activity. Also participating were members of the leadership team of the Beijing Women’s Federation, heads of various departments, and heads of district women’s federations.

During the activity, Shen Jie, Executive Vice President of the Party School of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, introduced the Jinghua Practice Classroom, noting that it comprehensively presents the vivid practice and fruitful achievements of Xi Jinping Thought in Beijing City and serves as an important platform for studying and educating Party members on the theory.

Following the exhibition framework of “key quotations + case studies + outcomes,” participants systematically studied General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions and requirements on Beijing’s governance. They also entered a simulated “Fuxing” high-speed rail cabin to experience the magnificent scenery of the Beijing Central Axis, an intangible cultural heritage. Through rich graphic materials, videos, physical exhibits, and interactive experiences, participants gained an immersive understanding of the capital’s vivid practices and remarkable achievements in the new era in areas including urban planning and development, coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, mega-city governance, whole-process people’s democracy, public welfare and livelihood protection, and cultural inheritance. Participants also deepened their understanding of the theoretical strength and practical power of Xi Jinping Thought.

During the subsequent symposium, Zhao Hongwei, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group and Vice Chairperson of the Beijing Women’s Federation, briefed participants on the progress of educational activities related to establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements. Heads of district women’s federations focused on the theme of the study program and exchanged views on key areas, including ideological and political guidance for women, family civility development, rights protection and care services, women’s contributions to development, and grassroots organizational development.

Participants agreed that they would remain committed to practical and diligent work, continuously strengthen the establishment and practice of a correct view of political achievements, improve the effectiveness of women’s federations, and better serve women, families, and grassroots communities with more solid measures, thereby writing a new chapter in the development of women’s and children’s causes in the capital in the new era.

In her concluding remarks, Zhou Zhijun emphasized that women’s federations at all levels across the city must firmly uphold their political role, fully leverage their function as a bridge and link between the Party and women, and closely integrate the establishment and practice of a correct view of political achievements with serving the overall development of the capital and fulfilling the core responsibilities of women’s federations. She stressed the importance of focusing on the urgent needs and concerns of women and children and embodying the spirit of “not seeking personal credit, but ensuring success is achieved” by translating political achievements into tangible results for women and the public.

She also called for stronger coordination between municipal and district federations, summarized and promoted the characteristic experiences that district women’s federations made, and promoted high-quality development of women’s and children’s causes through pragmatic action. In addition, she emphasized the need to strengthen the development of the citywide women’s federation cadre team by embracing new developments, practicing lifelong learning, encouraging innovation, and taking on responsibilities proactively. Through continuous progress in women’s federation work, she said, women’s federations would contribute women’s wisdom and strength to the development of the capital in the new era.
