On May 26, the Beijing Womens Federation, together with the Beijing High Peoples Court, Peoples Procuratorate of Beijing Municipality, Beijing Public Security Bureau, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Justice, Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau, Tianjin Womens Federation, Hebei Womens Federation and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Womens Federation, jointly organized a training course on the prevention and resolution of marriage and family disputes. More than 200 participants attended the event, including womens federation staff from Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and Inner Mongolia, as well as police officers, judges, procurators, mediators, marriage registration staff, and operators of the 12338 and 12345 hotlines engaged in the prevention and resolution of marriage and family disputes.

Liu Yuexin, Vice President of the China People’s Association for Mediation (CPAM) and Beijing Peoples Association for Mediation, and Honorary President of Xicheng District Peoples Mediators Association of Beijing, centered his lecture on the substantive resolution of marriage and family disputes. Drawing on a wealth of typical cases, he guided participants to thoroughly understand the mediation philosophy of resolving both disputes and emotional distress, and master the approaches, key points and skills for dispute mediation. Police officers, grassroots judges and mediators shared their practical experience and job responsibilities, and held in-depth discussions on better preventing and settling marriage and family disputes. The training featured rich content and detailed cases, with active on-site exchanges. It helped further build consensus, enhance mutual understanding, break down inter-departmental barriers, facilitate information sharing and work coordination, and strengthen joint efforts to prevent and resolve marriage and family disputes, so as to safeguard family harmony and social stability.
