To thoroughly study and promote the Party’s innovative theories, enhance the effectiveness of the “Learn and Do Together” campaign for Women’s extensive learning and lectures, and promote the study and dissemination of Xi Jinping: Walking into the Worlds of Ordinary People (Volume II), starting from June 1st, the Women’s Voice platform of the All-China Women’s Federation has launched a special column titled “Learn and Do Together · Exhibition of Excellent Cases”. Centered on the main theme of “Striving for the 15th Five-Year Plan, Making Solid Efforts to Start a New Chapter”, and in tandem with the ongoing campaign to foster and apply a correct view on performance achievements, this special column takes role-model demonstration as guidance and leverages brand development for empowerment. It features the innovative practices, proven experience and tangible outcomes of the 50 outstanding entities selected in 2025 under the Women’s Learning & Publicity Program. The column is designed to encourage Women’s federations and female publicity teams nationwide to learn from benchmarks, build featured brands and upgrade work efficiency. It further unites and mobilizes hundreds of millions of women to forge ahead on the new journey and fulfill their mission in the new era, pooling formidable female strength to steadily advance the development of Chinese modernization.

 

With the spring drum beating for endeavor, we gallop forward on a new journey. As the Spring Festival of the Year of the Horse in the Bingwu cycle approaches, which is the beginning year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited and conveyed greetings to grassroots cadres and the public in Beijing, delivering an important speech. His earnest care moistened the land of the capital, and his profound instructions charted the course for endeavor. As the entire city diligently studies the spirit of the General Secretary’s important speech during his inspection in Beijing, pooling strength to compose a new chapter of high-quality development for the capital, the All-China Women’s Federation compiled and published Xi Jinping: Walking into the Worlds of Ordinary People (Volume II). The Beijing Women’s Federation has earnestly implemented its study, publicity, and application, combining the learning and application of Xi Jinping: Walking into the Worlds of Ordinary People with the study of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches on Beijing. This aims to deeply appreciate the demeanor of the leader, comprehend the power of his thought, draw strength from truth, and promote the formation of vivid practices of the General Secretary’s important thought in the capital.

“The foundation of political achievements lies in serving the people.” The Beijing Women’s Federation regards Xi Jinping: Walking into the Worlds of Ordinary People (Volume II) as important teaching material for establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements. The Party Leadership Group specially studied and formulated a plan for study and publicity, ensuring solid and firm learning within the Women’s federation system through leadership setting examples and systematic advancement.

 

At the Party Leadership Group’s Theoretical Study Center Group reading session, the Federation’s Party Leadership Group took the lead in deep study, careful comprehension, and exchange discussions, profoundly grasping the essence that “bringing benefit to the people is the greatest political achievement.” During the training session for members of the Beijing Women’s Federation Executive Committee, Liu Liqun, President of China Women’s University, provided special guidance, using vivid cases to interpret the resonance points between “matters of national importance” and family development. The Federation’s Young Marxists Study Group followed up with learning, sharing reading insights based on their practical work, effectively transforming learning outcomes into conscious action and responsibility among young cadres.

 

Book recommendation and gifting activities were widely carried out. At city-wide events such as the Capital Women’s Achievements Showcase and Awards Ceremony, the launch ceremony of the “Most Beautiful Family; Traditions Nurture Ten Thousand Homes” Beijing Action, and the Children’s Day Family Carnival, books were presented to National March 8th Red Banner Pacesetters and Capital’s Most Beautiful Families, encouraging broad masses of women and families to listen to and follow the Party.

During the study and exchange visit of Executive Committee members from Hong Kong and Macao to Beijing, leaders of the Beijing Women’s Federation presented them with books, conveying warm care and consolidating consensus on patriotism and love for family.

The Women’s federation system across the city coordinated efforts from top to bottom, advancing layer by layer, and continuously stirred up a learning upsurge. To more deeply understand the people-centered original aspiration and the practical orientation contained in the book, the Xicheng District Women’s Federation and the Chaoyang District Women’s Federation specially invited the editing, reporting, and publishing teams of China Women’s News and China Women Publishing House for in-depth interpretation, and shared the whole process of planning, writing, and publishing face-to-face. In the Lize Business District, the first garden-style financial business district in the country, the Fengtai District Women’s Federation used the platform built by the Beijing International Flower Show, an event of floral splendor, to create an original recitation “Echoes of the Original Aspiration in the Myriad Lights of Homes”, expressing the sincere voice of following the Party and the unity of the family and the country. The Daxing District Women’s Federation jointly carried out Party Day activities with co-construction villages, pooling strength for endeavor through shared reading and learning.

The Beijing Women’s Federation widely coordinates with group members, Women’s social organizations, government agencies, enterprises, public institutions, universities, and emerging fields, and makes good use of positions such as Women’s patriotism education bases, Women’s homes, and community parent schools to carry out all-round and multi-level learning and publicity activities, allowing the stories of the leader’s care for the people and the driving force of family and country endeavor to take root and touch people’s hearts.

 

Coordinating with Women’s federation group members and Women’s social organizations to carry out learning activities. At the Beijing Women’s Federation Group Members Symposium, Zhou Zhijun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and President of the Beijing Women’s Federation, recommended the books to group members including the Beijing Women’s Association for Science and Technology, the Association of Women Entrepreneurs, the Medical Women’s Association, and the Beijing Women’s Association for Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan Compatriots and Overseas Chinese. Everyone unanimously expressed their commitment to strive together for family and country and create new achievements.

Collaborating with the Working Committee for Departments Directly under the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee to host the “Most Beautiful Family Traditions Nurture Ten Thousand Homes, Directly Affiliated Organs in Action” showcase event. Over 300 staff members from various units immersed themselves in listening to family tradition stories, comprehending the sentiments of family and country, and demonstrating the firm strides and mission responsibility of Party members and cadres in Beijing’s directly affiliated organs, who march forward with the country in the name of family.

Beijing is rich in red resources. At national Women’s patriotism education bases such as the Museum of the War of Chinese People’s Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the Xiangshan Revolutionary Memorial Hall, the red docent teams earnestly understand the leader’s affection for the people and integrate it into their daily explanation work, leading the audience to understand the General Secretary’s sincere heart of putting the people first while looking back on the century-long history of the Party and inheriting the red gene.

The Capital’s Chinese and Foreign Families Celebrating International Day of Families Together is a brand event continuously held by the Beijing Women’s Federation for 16 sessions. At the 2026 event, MABKHOT ALEZZI, a teacher of Beijing International Studies University originally from Yemen, read with great interest and introduced the book’s content to children. The Beijing Women’s Federation also produced the video Her Beijing, leveraging mainstream media Facebook accounts to tell Chinese family stories to the world.

There is a large number of intellectual women in Beijing. The Beijing Women’s Federation gives full play to the role of the Capital Women Professors Association and extensively carries out reading and exchange activities. At Beihang University, Academician Su Donglin, a national model woman in making contributions, led female faculty members to read and understand the book together, cultivating the original aspiration of serving the country through scientific research and adhering to the mission of cultivating talents.

The Beijing Women’s Federation takes Xi Jinping: Walking into the Worlds of Ordinary People (Volume II) as a vivid teaching material for the Women’s extensive learning and lectures. Coordinating with the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee’s Lecture Team, with the “Capital’s Most Beautiful Women” Lecture Team as the carrier, it gives full play to the exemplary and leading role of national March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetters (collectives) and the Capital’s Most Beautiful Families, tells the stories of the people in simple words, and transforms the sincere feelings in the book into tangible and understandable on-the-spot lectures.

 

“Remember the General Secretary’s care and instructions and make our ‘small families’ thrive.” In Longzeyuan Community, Changping District, Yi Ran, a national March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetter and the community secretary, started from the ever-changing people’s livelihood around and shared the happy changes in the family.

 

At the Capital Women and Children’s Development Base, Han Lu, a national March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetter and the dean of the Beijing Tongrentang Institute of Medicinal and Edible Homology, organized employees to carry out reading and sharing activities, integrating the feelings of the country and the family into the corporate culture and contributing to the high-quality development of the capital with the craftsmanship of women.

At the Capital International Airport, the Women’s Duty Group of the Third Duty Brigade of the Beijing Exit-Entry Border Inspection Station, a national March 8th Red-Banner Collective, integrated their learning insights into their on-the-job practice, and interpreted the original aspiration of women to “guard a door and protect a city” with practical actions.

At the front line of scientific research, the Beijing March 8th Red-Banner Collective, the 25th Institute of the Second Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, organized scientific researchers to conduct in-depth studies and strive to write the era’s answer sheet with the heart for the country and the dream of the sky.

 

 

The General Secretary always cares about the new employment groups on the front line of the city and is concerned about their work, life, and well-being. The Beijing Women’s Federation strengthens the ideological and political guidance of women in emerging fields and guides them to understand the General Secretary’s lofty demeanor of putting the people at the highest position in his heart.

In the round-table classroom of Sina Headquarters Building, a special lecture activity jointly participated by the Beijing Women’s Federation, the Beijing Cyberspace Administration, and the Work Committee of Internet Enterprises of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee was carried out vigorously. Representatives of young employees born in the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s of Sina Weibo, content creators on Xiaohongshu who are very popular among young women, members of the Beijing Internet Celebrities Association, and online influencers with more than 5 million followers shared their heartfelt insights on remembering the instructions and being grateful and forging ahead. Nearly 1.6 million netizens watched the lecture through the Beijing Time and Beijing Women’s live-streaming platforms. The Party Committee of Weibo also distributed books to the company’s senior executives for in-depth study together.

 

“Reading the stories of General Secretary Xi Jinping visiting people’s homes, I once again feel the profound bond between the leader and the people, with their hearts closely connected and hands tightly held.” At the Xinzuobiao business point of SF Express in Dongcheng District, Lu Ping, the Party secretary of Beijing SF Express Co., Ltd., read the stories from the book with the “delivery couriers”. They revisited the heart-warming moment when the General Secretary had an amiable conversation with the couriers on the eve of the Spring Festival, so that the care of the Party could directly reach the new employment groups.

Patriotic and family feelings remain fresh and strong over time. Grounded in the household front, the Beijing Women’s Federation has incorporated the second volume of Xi Jinping: Walking into the Worlds of Ordinary People into the “Beijing Families Reading Initiative.” Focusing on key milestones such as World Book Day and International Day of Families, the federation organized activities like “Reading + Practice.” These activities guided women and families to understand the General Secretary’s original aspiration and perceive his deep-seated care through his continuous footsteps and affectionate concern. In doing so, they can cultivate good family traditions and consolidate the foundations of social harmony with the flourishing of millions of small homes.

“I will firmly remember the General Secretary’s care and entrustment. I will fully play the role of women as ‘holding up half the sky’ and use my industrious hands to make Shuiyuzui Village more livable, beautiful, and harmonious.” This was deeply expressed by Li Meng’s family from Miaofengshan Town, Mentougou District, while speaking to government officials. They recounted the vivid details and touching scenes of the General Secretary visiting their home during his inspection of post-disaster reconstruction work in Beijing. “Reading the words in the book, it feels as if I have returned to that warm winter day when the General Secretary came to our home,” recalled Zhu Maojin, a resident of the Caochang Sitiao Hutong community in Dongcheng District. His family was honored as one of the “Most Beautiful Families” nationwide. The warm moments from seven years ago, when the General Secretary made jiaozi and chatted about daily life with his family, remain vivid in his mind. Today, Zhu actively participates in courtyard discussions and leads his neighbors to beautify the hutong courtyards, taking concrete actions to fulfill the General Secretary’s earnest instructions on protecting the old city and preserving the unique characteristics of hutongs.

 

The federation carried out book donation and house-visiting activities to reach out to women and families. This allowed the leader’s care to reach the grassroots directly and warm the hearts of the people. “The General Secretary cares about us, the ordinary people. During his inspection in Beijing, he made a special trip to visit the elderly. Living in such a wonderful era, we elderly people must live our lives to the fullest,” said Chen Jingyun, a member of a “Most Beautiful Family,” holding the book with words full of emotion and gratitude.

 

During the first National Reading Activity Week and the Family Tradition and Education Publicity Month, Women’s federations across various districts organized study-sharing, family-tradition recitation, and book-donation and recommendation activities based on local conditions. The Haidian District Women’s Federation donated books to “Most Beautiful Families” and held an on-site reading activity. Women’s federations in districts including Dongcheng, Shijingshan, Mentougou, Shunyi, and Pinggu organized study and sharing sessions for the second volume of Xi Jinping: Walking into the Worlds of Ordinary People, where they recounted stories of family and country to draw strength for the journey ahead.

By making good use of online communication forms such as video lectures and live streaming, the federation cooperated with Beijing Radio and Television Station to launch multi-dimensional online lectures. This encouraged tens of millions of netizens to read these heartwarming stories together and perceive patriotic and family feelings. Women’s federations at all levels utilized short videos, live streaming, graphics, and text to create immersive learning environments. These efforts vividly displayed the warmth of family and country in ordinary life, encouraging women and families to inherit fine family traditions and deeply cultivate patriotic sentiments.
