Date:2026-6-5 9:19:12 Views:The year 2026 marks the first year of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan period and is also a pivotal year for advancing Macao’s Third Five-Year Plan. To help Macao’s professional women keep pace with national development and further integrate into the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Luo Ping (Macao), executive committee member of the Beijing Women’s Federation, organized a delegation of 50 professional women representatives from Macao to visit Zhuhai on May 30. The program covered a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, rural cultural and wellness development, women’s entrepreneurship, and high-tech manufacturing. The most significant and distinctive highlight of the visit was an immersive study session centered on the second volume of the book Xi Jinping Zoujin Baixing Jia (Xi Jinping Visits Families).

Earlier, Luo Ping attended the Fourth Session of the 15th Executive Committee of the Beijing Women’s Federation and delivered a presentation at the Executive Committee Training Program, sharing new developments in her field, innovative approaches to fulfilling her duties, and achievements in serving women and families. During the meeting, Zhou Zhijun, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairwoman of the Beijing Women’s Federation, together with Lei Xiaoning, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairwoman, presented Luo Ping with a copy of Xi Jinping Zoujin Baixing Jia (Xi Jinping Visits Families, Second Volume), conveying their care and support while creating a valuable learning opportunity for the women from Macao. To gain a deeper understanding of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s commitment to the people, the delegation held a reading and study session at Chuangmei Courtyard in Huitong Ancient Village, a setting known for its tranquil environment and rich cultural heritage.

The event began with a live musical performance by Deng Zhiying, owner of Laiya Qin Yuan, and her husband Thomas. They performed pieces including Kangding Love Song, A Fairy’s Love Song, and Flowers Blooming in China. Their graceful melodies created a warm and inspiring atmosphere. Having chosen to live and work in a rural community, the couple shared their entrepreneurial journey and personal experiences with the women from Macao, highlighting how they have benefited from policies supporting rural revitalization.

The event also featured Lin Zhiwen, Head of the Guangdong Correspondent Station of China Women’s News. Drawing on her firsthand experience in the reporting and editorial work for Xi Jinping Zoujin Baixing Jia (Xi Jinping Visits Families), she vividly recounted the story of the Deng Weixiong family in Shenzhen, as featured in the book. She also described in detail General Secretary Xi Jinping’s visit to Yumin Village in Shenzhen in 2012 and his warm interactions with local families. Through the life changes experienced by one ordinary family over several decades, participants gained a deeper appreciation of the remarkable improvements in people’s livelihoods since the launch of China’s reform and opening-up policy. The session enabled the women from Macao to truly feel General Secretary Xi Jinping’s deep commitment to the well-being of the people.

The immersive study program was sincere, engaging, and highly rewarding. It not only brought the women of Macao closer together in spirit but also provided professional women from Macao with a close-up and multidimensional understanding of the nation’s development trajectory and the profound transformations of the times.

The delegation also visited Gree Electric Appliances and met with Chairwoman Dong Mingzhu. Drawing on her decades of experience in the manufacturing sector, Dong spoke about the rise of Chinese manufacturing and the responsibilities it carries. From the perspective of a distinguished woman entrepreneur, she encouraged the women from Macao to seize the opportunities presented by the Greater Bay Area, embrace their responsibilities, actively participate in regional development, and realize both personal and social value.
Looking ahead, the Macao Women’s General Association will continue to serve as a bridge connecting women in Beijing with those in the Greater Bay Area. It will further strengthen ideological and political guidance for women in Macao, actively organize exchange activities between women from both regions, and encourage women in Macao to foster a strong sense of national identity, shoulder the responsibilities of the new era, and contribute to writing a new chapter in Macao’s development.
