Beijing Women's Federation

To celebrate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the Beijing Women’s Federation organized a “Party Members’ Lecture Hall” event at the Red Building of Peking University on July 9. The event aimed to bring Party members closer to outstanding female role models, revisit the Party’s history of arduous struggle, and strengthen Party consciousness and self-cultivation.

Shi Bo, honored as a “Beijing Role Model–Most Beautiful Volunteer” and a member of one of Beijing’s Most Beautiful Families, delivered a presentation with her children entitled “Let the Light of Truth Illuminate a Century.” They shared touching stories about carrying on the revolutionary family tradition from one generation to the next.

As volunteer guides for the Red Building’s “New Youth” program, Shi Bo and her children also guided participants on tours of two themed exhibitions: “A Glorious Cause, the Red Prelude—The Red Building of Peking University and the CPC’s Early Revolutionary Activities in Beijing” and “The Road to Glory—An Exhibition of Historical Documents and Cultural Relics on the Founding of the CPC.” Through their engaging narration, they brought the Red Building’s revolutionary history to life. Their moving accounts, plain yet powerful language, and genuine emotion deeply inspired and educated everyone present at the event.

Standing before faithfully reconstructed historical settings and precious cultural relics, Party members and officials paused to observe and study them closely, gaining a profound appreciation of the magnificent era a century ago when the revolutionary journey “from the Red Building to the Red Boat” began.

Participants noted that the event had further strengthened their ideals and convictions and reinforced their original aspiration and founding mission. They pledged to draw strength from the Party’s glorious history and devote themselves with renewed enthusiasm to advancing the cause of women and children.
