August 10, the Beijing Women’s Federation convened its 2026 mid-year conference on advancing Party building work, alongside a warning education conference themed “Learning from Cases to Promote Reform.” Zhou Zhijun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and President of the Beijing Women’s Federation, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Zhao Hongwei, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group, Vice President and Level I Bureau Rank Official, presided over the conference and briefed attendees on the Federation’s institutional Party building work in the first half of 2026, as well as the progress of the educational campaign on establishing and practicing a correct understanding of governance performance.
The conference noted that Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building is rich in content, rigorous in structure, and profound in meaning. As a vital component of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, it serves as the fundamental guideline for strengthening Party building in the new era. All attendees were urged to study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building in depth, uphold political leadership, reinforce theoretical grounding, consolidate grassroots foundations, make sustained efforts to improve conduct and enforce discipline, and ensure full accountability, so as to usher in a new phase of Party building within the Federation.
The conference emphasized the need to earnestly implement the directives of the citywide warning education conference, and to deepen the practice of learning from cases to promote reform. Attendees were urged to consciously recalibrate their benchmarks for evaluating performance, proactively align with the decisions and plans made by the CPC Central Committee, the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, and the All-China Women’s Federation, concentrate their efforts on better meeting the aspiration of women, children, and families for a better life. The Federation should stay committed to concrete action and results, promote a results-oriented work style, and advance its work toward greater innovation, higher quality and more tangible outcomes.
The conference required that advancing rectification of inspection findings be treated as a major political task for the current and coming period. A strong sense of overall coordination should be maintained, political awareness and positioning elevated, and political, ideological and practical commitment to rectification work further strengthened. Attendees should shoulder political responsibility, adopt a problem-oriented approach, sustain follow-up oversight, and deliver solid results in the “second half” of the CPC Beijing Municipal Party Committee’s inspection, ensuring that all rectification tasks are completed on schedule and to a high standard.
During the conference, attendees watched the warning education film The Trajectory of a Fall.
Officials from the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group stationed at the Beijing Municipal Federation of Trade Unions by the Beijing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Beijing Municipal Supervision Commission attended the conference to provide guidance. Members of the Beijing Women’s Federation leadership team, bureau-level officials, Party members and cadres from the Federation’s administrative organs and affiliated public institutions, and members of the joint Party branch for social organizations attended the conference.
