On August 21, Zhou Zhijun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and President of the Beijing Women’s Federation, led a delegation to Yanqing District. The visit focused on child-friendly development, the protection of women and children’s rights and interests, women’s innovation and entrepreneurship, and the cultivation of family values, family education, and family traditions. The delegation conducted on-site inspections to assess progress and evaluate practical outcomes. Ma Honghuan, Deputy Secretary of the Yanqing District Party Committee, accompanied the delegation.

The research team visited the Beijing Expo Park, the Litigation-Mediation Coordination Center of the Yanqing District People’s Court (also serving as the Yanqing District Family Education Guidance Center), the Beijing Jinsu Planting Professional Cooperative, and the Wenquan Nanqu Xili Community in Rulin Subdistrict. At the Beijing Expo Park, the team inspected the operations of the child-friendly park and learned about the work of the Shiyuan International Study Camp in leveraging cultural and tourism resources to support young people’s healthy development and foster the growth of study-tour programs for children and teenagers. At the Litigation-Mediation Coordination Center of the Yanqing District People’s Court, they reviewed family education guidance services and examined measures taken and practical outcomes to protect women and children’s rights and interests and resolve conflicts and disputes. At the Beijing Jinsu Planting Professional Cooperative, they conducted on-site research into the women’s innovation and entrepreneurship base, focusing on initiatives that drive women’s entrepreneurship and employment and boost their incomes. At the Wenquan Nanqu Xili Community in Rulin Subdistrict, they explored how the cultivation of family values, family education, and family traditions can empower grassroots governance and improve community management.

Zhou Zhijun highly commended Yanqing District for leveraging its regional strengths, integrating platforms, and delivering tailored services to effectively meet the diverse needs of women, children, and families.

In recent years, the Yanqing District Women’s Federation has fulfilled its mandate by focusing on key development priorities for women and children. By fully integrating various resources, the Federation has made solid progress in protecting women and children’s rights and interests, empowering women’s entrepreneurship, and cultivating family values, family education, and family traditions. These efforts have strengthened the foundation for women’s federation work at the grassroots level and enhanced the sense of fulfillment, happiness, and security among women and children, driving the high-quality development of district-wide programs for women and children.
