On the morning of August 19, the fourth event of the Beijing Women’s Federation’s 2026 “Warm Beijing, Warm You” Family Cultural Tour for Emerging Sectors was successfully held at JD Logistics’ Asia No. 1 Beijing Intelligent Industrial Park. Families from emerging sectors gathered at the park for an immersive parent-child science and technology learning experience themed “Exploring the Smart Warehouse and Discovering New Technologies.” The event offered them a close-up look at cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and automated logistics.
At the event, a park guide led the families on a tour of the park model, smart operations warehouse, 5G exhibition hall and cultural corridor. At the park model display, participants learned about the overall layout of the industrial park. Inside the operations warehouse, the children saw how new technologies, including intelligent robots, automated packaging and AI recognition systems, enable efficient, eco-friendly operations, with the facility capable of sorting 24,000 parcels per hour. In the 5G exhibition hall, the families tried out intelligent recognition equipment and learned about digital warehousing management systems, JD.com’s “Green Stream Initiative” reusable boxes, slim tape and other green technologies. After the tour, the children took part in a fun hands-on activity themed around new energy, making solar-powered model cars and testing them outdoors in the sunlight. Watching their self-assembled cars move on solar energy, the children excitedly said that what they had learned from textbooks had come to life, further fueling their interest in science and technology. Parents also remarked that the cultural tour was both fun and educational, broadening their children’s horizons in science and technology while giving them a firsthand appreciation of China’s rapid technological progress. The event helped inspire young minds to aspire to serve the country through science and technology.
