On August 27, 2026, the Launch Ceremony and Industry Development Seminar for the Ruixi Women’s OPC Science and Innovation Community were held at Greenland Yungu Center in Future Science City, Changping District. The event was co-hosted by the Innovation Service Center of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, the Changping District Association for Science and Technology, and the Changping District Women’s Federation, under the guidance of the Beijing Women’s Federation and the Beijing Association for Science and Technology. Lei Xiaoning, Member of the Leading Party Member’s Group and Vice President of the Beijing Women’s Federation; Guo Xiaoran, Member of the Leading Party Members Group and Vice President of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology; and Leng Qiangtian, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Changping District Committee, attended the event and unveiled the Ruixi Women’s OPC Science and Innovation Community, marking its official launch.

OPC stands for One-Person Company, also known as a “super individual” or “one-person company.” It refers to a lightweight new paradigm in which individuals or micro-teams leverage AI tools for sci-tech innovation and entrepreneurship. HICOOL 2026 Global Entrepreneurship Competition introduced an OPC track for the first time, targeting individual entrepreneurs, one-person companies, and micro-teams worldwide. The competition focuses on three key areas: AI-native technologies and intelligent agents, AI + hard tech and frontier innovation, and AI-powered vertical applications, all aimed at bridging the gap between individual innovation and industrial application.

Against this backdrop, the Changping District Women’s Federation has leveraged its role as a trusted advocate for women and partnered with the “SHE·Shape the Future” women’s science and innovation brand to build a dedicated service hub for female OPC super individuals. As Beijing’s first women-friendly community of its kind, the Ruixi Women’s OPC Science and Innovation Community is located in Future Science City and built upon the premium science and innovation resources of the Jingbei Innovation and Intelligence Corridor in Changping District. Unlike existing OPC platforms in the district, which primarily serve university students and technology developers with hard-core entrepreneurial support such as workstations, computing power, and business registration, this community is tailored to women professionals in science and technology and female entrepreneurs in scientific innovation. Beyond hard-core support, it prioritizes soft services including community building, resource networking, mental well-being, and family support.

In partnership with the SHE·Shape the Future brand, the community has established five major empowerment pillars:

Empowerment Through Industry Project Matching. A two-way registry linking female OPC talent with lightweight industry demands will be created, enabling targeted referrals for enterprise technology development and outsourcing needs. A dedicated project pool for women will be launched, with support for subsidy applications and pathways to commercialize technological capabilities.

Empowerment Through AI Digital Business Skills Training. A hands-on training matrix covering four modules, namely AI digital human creation, AI short-video production, AI content planning, and livestreaming e-commerce, will be established to help women professionals in technology transform their expertise into digital content products. Practical AI tool and operations training will be offered to female entrepreneurs and job seekers, supported by training venues, tools and equipment, and supply chain resources.

Empowerment Through Policy Guidance and Entrepreneurial Growth. The community will provide centralized briefings on policies covering the AI industry, OPC incubation, women’s scientific innovation, female entrepreneurship subsidies, and talent support. Additional services include project application coaching, legal consulting for entrepreneurship, business model development, connections to incubators and financing and investment channels, and the identification and selection of outstanding female OPC role models.

Empowerment Through Ecosystem Partner Collaboration. By engaging research institutes, leading enterprises, professional service providers, MCN agencies, and supply chain partners in the ecosystem, the community will regularly host themed salons, project roadshows, and resource-matching events.

Empowerment Through Well-being and Family-Friendly Support. The community will provide psychological counseling for entrepreneurship, stress management, and education on women’s rights and interests, along with soft-skills training in business negotiation and public speaking. Flexible participation schedules will accommodate women’s family commitments, complemented by activities such as floral aesthetics, mind-body wellness sessions, and women-only networking salons.

At the unveiling ceremony, Lei Xiaoning delivered remarks affirming the vital role of women in technological innovation and congratulated the community on its official launch. She emphasized the importance of strengthening and leveraging the SHE·Shape the Future brand as a platform for serving and connecting women in science and innovation. Furthermore, she encouraged women engaged in technological innovation to seize the opportunities presented by AI, build on their strengths, and participate in sci-tech innovation practices, thereby contributing their wisdom and fulfilling their responsibilities in innovation and entrepreneurship. The event also featured policy briefings, a signing ceremony with the first cohort of ecosystem partners, and a themed panel discussion titled “Gathering Women’s Wisdom to Embark on a New OPC Journey: Breakthroughs and Synergy in Women’s Sci-Tech Innovation.”

Going forward, the Changping District Women’s Federation will continue to deepen the development of the SHE·Shape the Future brand, strengthen collaboration with the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, the Beijing Talent Work Bureau, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, and other departments, and pool resources from research institutes, industry associations, investors, and platforms to improve full-chain services for women engaged in sci-tech innovation. Relying on hubs such as the Ruixi Women’s OPC Science and Innovation Community, it will create an integrated platform for networking and showcasing, policy outreach, resource matching, and entrepreneurial empowerment, delivering targeted services for women in sci-tech innovation, super individuals, and startup teams, inspiring more women to engage in sci-tech innovation, and contributing women’s strengths to high-quality regional development.
