Training Held to Improve Capabilities of Women Cadres in Beijing

To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the spirit of the important speech made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on women and women's work and according to the requirement of the Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) on Party history learning and education, Beijing Women and Children's Social Service Center held a workshop from July 7 to 9 to train cadres at the center as well as heads of all affiliated units.
The three-day training session included a themed course on the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, which summarized the strategic evolution of China's economic development pattern and a course on Party history learning, which helped participants review the CPC's glorious history and remember the Party's original mission.
Combining the practical needs of the trainees, and focusing on project investigation, planning and design, preparation and start-up, execution and monitoring, evaluation and management, the course helped the cadres understand the basics of project management, and master related skills, methods and tools.
Courses on physical and mental training and communication and management in traditional culture were also arranged for the improvement of personal qualification.
There were both policy and theoretical interpretations and historical reviews. The course combined practical and theoretical work to improve efficiency.
More than 100 people from municipal and district women and children's centers and heads of relevant women and children's service organizations participated in the event.
The trainees gave positive feedback on the contents, organization and management of the training class. They said that they would strive to improve their political ability and practical skills through continuous learning; leverage the important position of women and children centers at the municipal and district levels, work hard to solve problems and do practical things for women and children, and contribute to the development of the cause of women and children in Beijing.
