The Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) launched a women and children's public service exchange and demonstration event on July 9 in the China National Convention Center in Beijing. The event, which lasted three days, spotlighted major topics such as the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and focused on the promotion of women's development, children's growth and family harmony.

Nearly 100 diverse activities ranging from exhibitions, to interactive experiences, salons and forums were held during the three-day event. During the event, an exhibition on the achievements of Beijing's women and children's development was held, covering five themes  vigorous development of capital's women and children's undertakings, women's federations keeping pace with the times, "steel roses" in wind and rain, salute to most beautiful women workers, and the further development of family education and traditions.

It comprehensively demonstrated the progress made in the development of women and children's causes in the capital under the Party's leadership during the period of 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20), as well as the updates in the work and reforms of local women's federations.

Female role models from different periods over the past 100 years since the founding of the CPC, such as former directors of the Women's National Salvation Union and the "capital's most beautiful women workers," and the promotion of the concept treasuring family, and promoting family education and family tradition under the leadership of Party building in the grassroots social governance, were also included in the exhibition. Leaders of the BWF presented honorary certificates and medals to representatives of the "capital's most beautiful women workers."

Zhang Yajun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and President of BWF, and An Yufeng, Deputy Party Secretary of Peking University, addressed the event. Xu Jicheng, Director of the Media Operations Department of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, delivered a report on prospects and women's participation in Beijing 2022.
