The women and children's service centers across Beijing have worked through its online and offline services to concentrate efforts on serving families, women and children.

The centers have carried out a community-based service project on a regular basis for several years. This year's activities started in April, and included 92 items of services which covered areas of handicrafts, art, reading, safety, food, health and environmental protection.

By the end of June, the services had benefiting more than 4,000 people. They were delivered to the sub-districts and communities on a daily basis according to the residents' actual needs.

The activities involved parent-child reading, handicraft making and intangible cultural heritage skill experiences, which colored children's lives and cultivated their creative thinking and reading habits on the one hand, while on the other hand helped promote local traditional culture. What's more, the activities were committed to enhancing parent-child relationships and fostering good family styles.

Activities for women such as handicrafts and creative eco-friendly bag making were popular. The participants employed recycled and re-used materials to produce a purely natural cleaning solution, and handcrafts like canvas back bags. During the activities, women learned about handicraft making and garbage sorting and recycling, and built friendly partnership with neighbors, benefiting neighborhood unity.

Women and children's service centers at all levels in Beijing have always followed a people-centered philosophy, seeding it into concrete actions. They fulfill their political responsibilities, endeavor to guide and connect women by leveraging their role as a bridge and a public service platform for women and children in the city.

Guided by the needs of women, they focus on delivering high-quality public services to the sub-districts and communities, bringing services closer to people's lives that satisfy the demands of women and children, and enriching families' cultural lives. The centers make services of women's federations accessible and mobilize women to rally closely around the Party, uniting women for building socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
