To study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the ceremony marking the centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and to continue the Party history learning and education campaign, participants of a learning camp of the Beijing Women's Federation (BWF), led by Zhao Hongwei, member of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President of BWF, visited two exhibitions on July 2 at the China National Museum of Women and Children. Song Fang, Deputy Director of the museum, accompanied the visitors.

Members of the BWF's learning camp listened to Xi Jinping's important speech at the grand ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC. They were greatly inspired. As workers for women and children's development in the capital, they said they will firmly keep Xi's words in mind and putting them into action.

The two exhibitions, themed on women's strengths in Party history and children following the Party, sponsored by the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), carried forward patriotism and revolutionary traditions and boosted Party history learning and education. At the opening ceremony of the exhibitions on June 25, Zhang Yajun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and President of the BWF, and some representatives of the capital's "most beautiful families" donated a flag of the CPC, which was embroidered by 100 families, to the museum.

The exhibition on women's strengths in Party history is divided into two chapters. One summarizes important events and the timeline of the Chinese women's movement led by the CPC in the past century, displaying women and women's organizations' devotion to China's revolution, construction and reform which benefits national independence, liberation of the people and prosperity of the country.

A total of 113 women heroic models are honored at the second chapter for their outstanding deeds and touching stories in various historical periods since the founding of the Party.

The exhibition on children mainly showcases the touching deeds of juvenile heroes and role models who emerged during the New Democratic Revolution period, the time after the founding of New China and the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics that guided Chinese children to love the Party, the country and socialism and to become successors to the socialism cause.

During the immersive learning through pictures, diagrams, videos and daily items, the attendees reviewed their original inspiration and got educated ideologically. They confirmed that Chinese women have never ushered in such great opportunities for their lives and dreams, and the Chinese women's cause has never had such broad development space and bright prospects.

The revolutionary faith illuminated the way forward, and also inspired today's women to follow the Party on a new journey. After visiting the exhibitions, the comrades expressed the view that they should remain true to original aspiration and inherit revolutionary traditions to become builders of great causes, advocates of civilized lifestyles and strugglers who dare to pursue dreams in strides toward the second centenary goal of building China into a great modern socialist country in all respects.

The learning camp was launched in May to structure the systematic learning of BWF cadres who do research work and improve their abilities by continuously strengthening the study of the Party's innovative theories, the work of women's federations and comprehensive knowledge. Since its opening, the camp has held six learning activities in forms of intensive learning and exhibition trips, with contents covering Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Xi's important expositions on mass organizations and women's development. The important spirit of the ACWF and the Beijing municipal government, as well as the knowledge and skills involved in the work of women's federations are also included in the learning program.

The camp's participants will deeply study and implement the spirit of Xi Jinping's important speech at the ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, and continue to deepen the education on Party history and the women's movement led by the Party and explore related revolutionary resources, especially those in Beijing, telling revolutionary stories well and passing on revolutionary traditions. The participants are expected to spread stories about revolutionary family traditions and women's contributions in the new era, and to promote family-based Party history education to strengthen Chinese women's determination in their following of the Party's leadership. Meanwhile, study and research have been launched on women's federation's key tasks such as encouraging women's technological innovation, constructing child-friendly cities, and guaranteeing services for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
