To promote Party history learning and education, educate and guide Party members to strengthen their ideals and beliefs and carry forward revolutionary traditions, Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) organized all its Party members to visit an exhibition themed on "stay true to our founding mission" at the Museum of the Communist Party of China (CPC), in Beijing, on July 23.

The exhibition features four parts  the founding of the CPC and the victory of the New Democratic Revolution; the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the socialist revolution and development; the reform and opening-up and development of socialism with Chinese characteristics; and carrying forward socialism with Chinese characteristics into a new era, building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and embarking on a new journey toward a modern socialist country in all aspects. Based on the Chinese nation's historical transformation from standing up, growing prosperous to becoming strong, more than 2,600 pictures and more than 3,500 pieces or sets of exhibits reflect the CPC's extraordinary 100-year journey.

The visitors immersed themselves in the exhibition hall just as if they had dived into the long river of history. Among the items are the restored site of the first CPC National Congress, boards showing the establishment of revolutionary bases and footage from the founding ceremony of the PRC. The exhibition also displays photos showing the establishment of special economic zones and data charts relating to poverty alleviation. The exhibits and files show the difficult journey of the CPC in the past century and the great achievements of the Party. The attendees learned more about the hard-won "red political power," New China and socialism with Chinese characteristics, and understood why the CPC, Marxism, and socialism with Chinese characteristics could save the Chinese nation.

Through the visit, BWF's Party members reviewed the glorious history of the Party and deeply comprehended the original mission of the CPC. They said they would continue to study and implement the spirit of General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping's important speech at a ceremony marking the centenary of the CPC, and will carry forward the revolutionary traditions, drawing strength from the Party's historic struggle and leaning from the Party's valuable experience. With this kind of strength, BWF cadres are expected to make continued efforts to implement plans including creating a child-friendly city and promoting women's science and technological innovation, and to conduct surveys to learn women and children's needs and offer practical services.
