To further consolidate the Party construction of the municipal women's federation, strengthen its self-governance, improve the capability of Party affairs workers, and show the role of grassroots Party organizations, the Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) held a Party affairs workers training on July 27.

The trainees first went to the Beijing Municipal Archives and visited an exhibition on the activities of the Beijing branch of the Communist Party of China from 1919-1949. Documents and pictures presented a whole gallery about events such as the May Fourth Movement, the Changxindian Workers Movement and the peaceful liberation of Beijing. Through them participants learned more about the arduous exploration and unremitting efforts of the Chinese communists to establish the People's Republic of China, as well as their revolutionary spirits.

At an exhibition on Li Dazhao's revolutionary activities in the archive, the visitors listened to the detailed explanation and reviewed his revolutionary life as a promoter, founder and pioneer of Chinese communism. The exhibition was composed of three parts: the fire sower, the founder and the pioneer. It took Li's life and revolutionary activities as the main line, and comprehensively presented his glorious life using precious pictures, photos and videos. The visitors were touched by the spirits of fighting for the ideal of communism without fear of sacrifice of the revolutionary pioneers represented by Li. They were deeply inspired by the great journey of the CPC leading the Chinese people to lay the solid foundation for a century of great cause. They also enhanced the understanding of original aspiration and responsibility of the proletarian revolutionaries. After the visit, the mission of inheriting the revolutionary traditions and the lofty ideals and beliefs of unremitting struggle to realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation took deeper root in the participants' minds.

The training invited Shan Chuanhua, a cadre from the Organizational Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, to give a lecture on the topic "comprehensively improving the quality of Party branch building in the new era." Noting the spirit of the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on strengthening Party branch building in the new era, Shan illustrated the new ideas, new judgments and new requirement of the mission, and expounded its significance. He also sorted out the key contents of Party branch building, pointed out the emphases of standardized building, and gave guidance on strengthening the standardized building of Party branch and improving the work capacity of Party affairs cadres.

The training helped the participants enhance their political awareness to implement Xi's important instructions, and deepened their understanding of the importance of the Party building work, aroused their enthusiasm, and strengthened their confidence in such tasks.

Wei Jiang, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President of the BWF, shared her opinions on further strengthening Party construction during the training. Wei said that officers must first pay attention to the ideological building, enhance the sense of responsibility and mission of Party affairs workers, and continue to consolidate the foundation of Party building. As the new era has put forward new requirements to Party cadres, she also urged participants to strengthen learning, improve their own skills, and transform the learning results into a powerful driving force for the implementation of the work. In her speech, Wei also underlined that Party building work should be integrated with functional tasks, giving full play to the role of Party branches as a battle fortress and to the exemplary role of Party members, and by contributing women's strength to the development of the women's cause in the capital.

More than 50 people, including members of the Party committee, the disciplinary inspection committee, Party secretaries and other Party cadres of the BWF, attended the training.
