The newly upgraded "Beijing women lifelong learning" platform was officially launched in Beijing on July 16.

Wei Jiang, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President of the Beijing Women's Federation (BWF), Pan Suyan, Party Secretary and Director of the Beijing Hospitals Authority, Zhang Wen, President of the Beijing Internet Court, and Li Xuemei, Deputy Editor-in-chief of Beijing Daily Group, attended the ceremony. Other attendees included cadres of Dongcheng District's Women's Federation, representatives of women in Beijing and BWF's group members such as the Beijing Women Professors Association, the Women Lawyers Union of Beijing Lawyers Association, the Beijing Medical Women's Association, and representatives of social organizations, heads of relevant departments and institutions of BWF, also attended. Representatives of women's federations' workers and women in other 15 districts watched the ceremony through a live-streaming platform.

Sponsored by BWF, this platform focuses on women and families, and serves the self-improvement of women in Beijing. It is also the only public platform in the city that focuses on this field. Since the launch of the project in 2015, the platform has played an important role in improving the overall qualifications of women in Beijing and accelerating the development of women as talents.

To adapt to new situations, better serve women, children and families, and support the work of women's federations, BWF updated the platform in the past year.

In terms of function, the platform provides free learning services for women in Beijing. In terms of content, seven channels have been created to provide multi-faceted information and guidance for women from different fields, age groups, and with various occupations and their families.

All contents in the channel plan to better implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on the promotion of family traditions, showcase outstanding female models, promote positive energy, better protect the rights and interests of women and children through providing professional legal support to enrich their lives, improve their careers and safeguard their health. Utilizing video, live-streaming, audio and other ways, the platform is planned to meet the learning habits of all kinds of people.

In order to provide professional and authoritative contents, BWF specially invited the Beijing Internet Court and the Beijing Hospitals Authority to be the platform's strategic support units. The Beijing Internet Court provides the platform with professional legal class resources that focus on the protection of the rights and interests of women and children. The hospitals authority, focusing on physical and mental health of women and children, provides professional health guidance.

The new platform realizes the integrated operation of the PC terminal (study.bjwomen.gov.cn) and the official WeChat account.
