The BWF's work on promoting housekeeping services was summarized at the meeting. First, as for raising the quality and expanding the capacity of housekeeping service companies, led by the BWF, more than 80,000 people have been trained by housekeeping service companies, three of which have become pilot companies for the "leaders initiative," a plan to improve the industry. Second, throughout the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, BWF helped relieve difficulties for enterprises and helped two women's housekeeping service companies get loans of 8 million yuan (US$ 1.23 million). Third, BWF organized and mobilized enterprises to actively participate in garbage classification, and incorporate it into the training of housekeepers of companies. Fourth, BWF also organized outstanding housekeepers to attend the second National Women's Housekeeping Service Competition, winning second prizes in maternal and child care and housework. Fifth, during Spring Festival in 2021, BWF visited female housekeepers who stayed in Beijing for the Lunar New Year, which enables them to feel the care of the Party, the government and women's federations.

At the meeting, the BWF deployed the work of the next stage. It will highlight pre-job training and re-training, strengthen supply-demand matching, establish a stable labor cooperation mechanism with the populous provinces in the central and western regions, and develop housekeeping brands and leading enterprises. It will also improve publicity and incentives for housekeeping services and integrate it into the key work of the BWF. Then, it will start a new round of certification for housekeeping enterprises in Beijing.

At the meeting, heads of six housekeeping service companies shared their experience and practices in the housekeeping industry, and put forward the problems existing in the sector, as well as their opinions and suggestions.

In her speech, Zhou asked to create women's housekeeping service brands, and to promote the standardized development of the industry in Beijing. Stories of role models in the industry should be promoted, creating a good social atmosphere. Zhou emphasized that training should be the driving force of the development, especially the improvement of vocational skills, which needs to start with innovating mechanisms and increasing the amount of training. Zhou also said BWF will further strengthen the supply-demand matching by utilizing relevant preferential policies, to do a good job in the pilot work of the "leaders initiative" for the upgrading and expanding housekeeping services, to encourage women's housekeeping service companies to explore new business models under the new situation, and to foster innovative development.

After the meeting, heads of the certificated women's housekeeping service companies said that the meeting was rewarding. In the future, they will transform the spirit of the meeting into practical actions that can solve practical problems, and are motivated to meet consumer demand. They will strive to keep the position in the next round of enterprise certifications and promote the high-quality development of the housekeeping service industry.
