The Beijing Women and Children's Service Center arranged an online class on traffic safety on September 2 for more than 230 couriers, advocating safe and civilized transport in accordance with laws and regulations.

With the rapid development of the logistics industry, couriers have become an indispensable service force. They help create beautiful and convenient urban life. They also take up a large proportion of e-bike drivers on roads. In order to deliver packages on time, couriers sometimes violate traffic rules such as running red lights, changing lanes at will, traveling on the wrong side of the road and making phone calls while driving.

During the class, a national (level 4) emergency rescuer was invited to give instructions on how to handle traffic accidents based on the features of delivery industry and couriers' occupational requirements. Through case analyses, video presentations and questions answering, the expert explained in detail how to respond to various situations such as traffic accidents and battery fires as well as treatment of injuries, including sprains and burns. The couriers were expected to master basic knowledge and requirements pertaining to motorcycle traffic, as well as learn about and abide by traffic laws, respect the safety of others and themselves, and go about their work in a safe and civilized way.
