Wang gave a work report in which she reviewed the BWAEE's efforts, upholding the principles of Party leadership, social participation and cooperative governance, in enhancing self-development, creating brands and promoting foreign exchanges in the past five years. Planning for the next five years, Wang stressed that the association should stay true to its original aspiration and keep its mission firmly in mind to serve national development. Led by Party building and guided by its goals, BWAEE will continue to improve its internal governance and pursue innovative development.

Tan recognized the efforts of BWAEE in taking an active part in women's international exchanges in various fields at home and abroad, and continuously exploring the rules governing women-related diplomacy, which has played an important role in women-to-women exchange.

Noting that China has a new starting point with the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period, Tan said she hoped that the BWAEE will improve its political consciousness of serving national development and aim to build the capital into an international communication center with active international exchanges, good international services and prominent international influence. She also indicated that following a people-centered philosophy, the BWAEE is supposed to serve the capital's high-quality development, promote women's development in the capital of a major country and pool the strengths of women's actions in people-to-people friendship to serve the country's overall diplomacy.

The BWF will, as always, attach importance to and support the work of the BWAEE, help it achieve broader space for development, and provide better services for the development of women, Tan added.

He said it has organized a variety of women's non-governmental exchange activities that have enhanced understanding and friendship between Chinese women and women around the world.

Xu noted that the Beijing NGO Network for International Exchanges will deepen its cooperation with the BWAEE and elaborate a work plan for innovative development, as well as plan integrated and high-quality development, contributing to new progress and achievements in non-governmental diplomacy in Beijing.
