The sixth plenary session of the 19th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee was held in Beijing from November 8 to 11, 2021. The session released a communiqué. The plenum is a historical event at key historical junctures. It has profound influence on unifying the whole Party in thinking, will and action, uniting and leading all Chinese people to learn from history and forge ahead for a better future and upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.

 

Beijing Women's Federation held a meeting of its leading Party members' group on November 15 to study the spirit of the key Party plenum and discuss the measures to study, publicize and implement the spirit. The meeting was presided over by Zhang Yajun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and President of BWF. According to the meeting, based on the plans of the CPC Central Committee and the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and the requirements of the All-China Women's Federation, studying and implementing the guiding principles from the CPC plenum are primary political tasks and the key of Party history learning and education. The spirit of the plenum should be used to unify BWF cadres in thinking and guide their work and the valuable historical experience accumulated should be carried on. Cadres should champion the great founding spirit of the Party, remain mindful of the country's most fundamental interests, and serve the overall plans of the country. The work of women and women's federations should be carried on with top standards and the reform of women's federations should be deepened. The work on family and family education should be promoted and the Women's Scientific and Technological Innovation Beijing Action should be implemented. Women's federations should provide practical services to women and unite women to follow the Party's instructions and contribute to the high-quality development of Beijing, greeting the 20^th CPC national congress with remarkable achievements.

Party Branch of Organization Department

 

The Party branch of the Organization Department of the Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) organizes study of the spirit of the sixth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee.

 

Members of the Party branch of BWF's Organization Department studied on November 16 the spirit of the plenum and they agreed that establishing Comrade Xi Jinping's core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole, and with the unity and hard work of all Chinese people, all the difficulties along the way ahead will be overcome. The members said that we must learn from history and strengthen consciousness of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core, and keep in alignment with the central Party leadership (the Four Consciousness), and enhance confidence in the path, theory, system, and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics (the Four-sphered Confidence), resolutely upholding Comrade Xi Jinping's core position on the Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and upholding the Central Committee' authority and its centralized, unified leadership to ensure that all Party members act in unison (the Two Upholds). They will offer strong organizational support to build a high-quality team of women's federation cadres.

Members of the Party branch of BWF's Liaison Department said that the Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the Major Achievements and Historical Experience of the Party over the Past Century reviewed the glorious history of the Party and they got a deeper understanding of their responsibilities. They also focused on the learning of the contents related to women's movements, reforms of mass organizations and the promotion of good family education and family traditions in the resolution. Participants said that they will further enhance their sense of responsibility to do a good job and strive to unite forces for the cause of women in Beijing, doing their best to serve the start of the new journey to realize the Second Centenary Goal.
