The sixth plenary session of the 19th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee was held in Beijing from November 8 to 11, 2021. The session released a communiqué. The plenum is a historical event at key historical junctures. It has profound influence on unifying the whole Party in thinking, will and action, uniting and leading all Chinese people to learn from history and forge ahead for a better future and upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.

 

Beijing Women's Federation held a meeting of its leading Party members' group on November 15 to study the spirit of the key Party plenum and discuss the measures to study, publicize and implement the spirit. The meeting was presided over by Zhang Yajun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and President of BWF. According to the meeting, based on the plans of the CPC Central Committee and the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, and the requirements of the All-China Women's Federation, studying and implementing the guiding principles from the CPC plenum are primary political tasks and the key of Party history learning and education. The spirit of the plenum should be used to unify BWF cadres in thinking and guide their work and the valuable historical experience accumulated should be carried on. Cadres should champion the great founding spirit of the Party, remain mindful of the country's most fundamental interests, and serve the overall plans of the country. The work of women and women's federations should be carried on with top standards and the reform of women's federations should be deepened. The work on family and family education should be promoted and the Women's Scientific and Technological Innovation Beijing Action should be implemented. Women's federations should provide practical services to women and unite women to follow the Party's instructions and contribute to the high-quality development of Beijing, greeting the 20^th CPC national congress with remarkable achievements.

 

According to the requirements of the meeting, women's federations in Beijing have taken quick actions to study, publicize and implement the spirit of the plenum.

 

Women's Federation of Dongcheng District

 

The Women's Federation of Dongcheng District proposed requirements for all cadres during the learning session. It urged cadres to understand the significance of the sixth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee at an overall and historical level and unify their thinking and action with the plenum's spirit to serve the overall plan of the Party and the country. It urged women's federations to raise political stance and organize publicizing campaigns at various levels and in innovative ways with the combination of Party history learning and education. Focusing on the 14^th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), the reform of women's federations, child-friendly district development and other work, the federation will make specific plans to promote its high-quality development.

Women's Federation of Xicheng District

 

The Women's Federation of Xicheng District organized cadres to study the Communiqué of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and the Resolution of the CPC Central Committee on the Major Achievements and Historical Experience of the Party over the Past Century. The participants said the plenum was held at the crucial period in which the timeframes of the Two Centenary Goals converge. Based on women's aspirations for a better life, they must strengthen their political consciousness, advanced nature, and ability to represent the people, firmly implement the basic national policy of gender equality and the outlines for the development of women and children, and protect the rights and interests of women.
