Posters and billboards on anti-domestic violence are put up around Beijing by the Beijing Women's Federation.
To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which falls on November 25, Beijing Women's Federation launched a city-wide anti-domestic violence campaign by putting up informative posters and billboards in areas with a large flow of people and good visibility. More than 20,000 posters or video clips were placed and broadcast at bus shelters, mobile TVs on 550 bus lines in downtown Beijing, light boxes and elevator TVs in 51 communities, and the large screens of Joy City Mall in Chaoyang District and other malls. People will easily see the posters on buses, as well as escalators, TV screens and light boxes of subways. This action is expected to call on all sectors of society to fulfill their responsibility in caring for families and fighting domestic violence.
