The trade union of Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) held its fifth congress on December 28, 2021. Chen Ye, Vice-President of the trade union of Departments Directly under the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, and members of trade unions of BWF's functional departments and public institutions attended the meeting. The trade union's fifth committee and fifth fund-examination committee were elected.

Wei Jiang, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President of the BWF, delivered the work report on behalf of the BWF trade union's fourth committee, in which the work of the committee over the past five years was reviewed and suggestions were made to the fifth committee. According to the report, the trade union, focusing on the general situation of women's work in Beijing, has performed its duties in political and ideological guidance and has paid attention to staff's most troublesome and long-standing problems and enhanced its awareness of serving members. The trade union has organized various activities to promote BWF's cultural development and improved its abilities to serve staff. The newly-elect committee must adhere to the firm leadership of the Party over trade unions, focus on key work of BWF and services for staff and improve working abilities to make new progresses.

Chen affirmed BWF trade union's achievements, and hoped it will follow the right political direction and set an example in work, making the union a true home for staff.
