Beijing Women's Federation

To showcase China’s historic achievements made since the 18^th National Congress of the CPC in 2012, an exhibition under the theme “Forging Ahead in the New Era” is being held at the Beijing Exhibition Hall. On October 20, Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) organized staff workers from women's federations at all levels in Beijing, winners of the March 8^th Red-Banner Holders awards, recipients of the Most Beautiful Women Workers and the Most Beautiful Families in Beijing, and representatives of outstanding women from new economic and social organizations to visit the exhibition.

With a total area of over 30,000 square meters, the exhibition consisted of six exhibition areas, and boasted over 6,000 exhibits including pictures, and models. A giant ship model named "the Miracle," located in the central comprehensive exhibition area, used a string of numbers to demonstrate glorious achievements made by the country in science and technology, manufacturing, transportation, space and aviation, network and marine sectors.

The exhibition boards featured with guidelines, infographics and legal documents relevant to the development of the cause of women and children in the New Era reflect that the cause of women and children keep pace with the time. The pictures and models that showcase the efforts made to advance work of people's organizations touched the visitors organized by BWF, especially women’s federation cadres. The exhibition area focusing on Beijing offered a multi-dimensional display with rich content to demonstrate notable achievements made by the capital city in economic and social development over the decades.

The visitors said that the visit helped them better understand and draw inspiration from the momentous and extraordinary developments in the course of the Party and the country over the past 10 years, adding that they will fulfill their duties and forge ahead with enthusiasm to promote the realization of the development goals and tasks defined by the 20^th National Congress of the CPC, as well as the high-quality development of the capital city.
