BWF Convenes Training Session for Cadres of Grassroots Women's Federations

To thoroughly study, publicize and implement the guiding principle of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), deepen the learning of important speeches by General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping and his new ideas, new thinking and new strategies on national governance, advance the implementation of the initiative to foster leading figures of grassroots women's federations, and strengthen the capacity building of cadres from grassroots women's federations in serving women and children, Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) held a training session for cadres from grassroots women's federations on November 21-22.

The event brought together heads of the organizational and publicity departments of 16 district-level women's federations, full-time and part-time vice-presidents of the township-level women's federations.

Sun Peijun, a professor from the Party School of the CPC Central Committee (the National Academy of Governance), presented a thematic lecture titled “Advancing the Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation on All Fronts through a Chinese Path to Modernization: An Interpretation of the Guiding Principle of the 20th National Congress of the CPC.” Zhang Yuanyuan, an official from the Organization Department of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), delivered a thematic report titled "Studying and Implementing the Guiding Principle of the 20th National Congress of the CPC and Making Greater Efforts to Deepen the Reform of Women's Federations.” Fan Zhongtian, an official from the Organization Department of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC, gave a report titled "Strengthening Systematic Functional Building to Further Improve the Utility Rate of Party-building Venues.” Yang Pude, Party secretary of Beijing Huilongguan Hospital, focused on women's pressure management and self-adjustment in his lecture.

These lectures and reports covered both the explanation of major decisions and policies of the Party and practical guidance in a drive to bolster the competence and skills of cadres from grassroots women's federations and ease their stress.

Four cadres from grassroots women's federations shared their gains and feelings and came up with proposals on further improving the work of grassroots women's federations.

Attendees said that the training event was beneficial for enhancing their quality, expanding personal horizons and thinking, and added that they would integrate learning results into their future work, make full use of their leading role, fulfill their responsibilities in the workplace, and make contributions to the high-quality development of the work on women and children.
