Online Exhibition of Award-winning Works from Colorful World — International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition Held

Award-winning works from the Colorful World  International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition were recently displayed online. It was sponsored by the Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) and the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, and it was undertaken by the Beijing Women's International Center (BWIC).

With the theme "protecting biodiversity and building a shared future for all life on earth," the exhibition has received widespread attention at home and abroad since it was launched in May 2022. It drew the attendance of organizations and overseas Chinese organizations from over 50 countries, over 1,000 domestic schools and 700 art institutions, and 43,000 participants from 50 countries like Australia, Brazil, Canada and France.

Organizers presented awards to 312 entries from international participants and 1,002 works from Chinese attendees. In addition, 200 entrants were bestowed with organization awards.

The 200 first prize-winning works and award-winning works from Canada were exhibited online at the Chinese Pavilion on the sidelines of the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity, or CBD COP15, which was held in Montreal, Canada between December 7 and 19. The works depict the colorful world in the eyes of international children and teenagers and show support to the development philosophy of the co-existence between mankind and nature.

The invitational exhibition selected over 50 outstanding works and sent them to visiting guests.

The event strengthened the integration of high-quality resources from home and abroad and used painting to bolster cultural and artistic exchanges between Chinese and international children, deepen international cooperation, build a platform for people-to-people exchanges, and promote the realization of building a colorful world and the co-existence between all life on earth. It received huge coverage from Chinese and foreign media outlets, which included the CRI Online, huanqiu.com, the BRTV Youth Channel, Beijing Youth Daily, the English website of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, Facebook and Twitter.
