Li Jinfeng is a researcher at China Institute of Atomic Energy. She comes from a family in the mining area of east China's Shandong province. Thanks to her hard work and national support, Li became a radioactive waste management specialist at the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) after graduating from the Beijing Institute of Technology and Peking University.

During her work with the OECD/NEA, Li organized experts from many countries to conduct joint research on issues faced by the international community, wrote several reports on the management and disposal of highly radioactive waste, and promoted cooperation between China and the international agency.

In the documentary series, Li talked about her personal growth and work experience at the OECD/NEA. Her mother attached great importance to her education and often took her to bookstores throughout her childhood.
