BWF Convenes Conference on Anti-Corruption Awareness Education

Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) on November 24 held a conference on learning from typical cases and pushing for the rectification of problems. The conference aimed to thoroughly study and implement important discourses by General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Xi Jinping on exercising full and rigorous governance over the Party as well as the guiding principles of the Beijing municipal education conference on anti-corruption awareness, and reinforce the efforts to improve Party conduct and combat corruption with greater political awareness. Zhang Yajun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and President of the BWF, addressed the conference.

Beijing Women's Federation holds an anti-corruption awareness education conference to learn from typical cases and push for the rectification of problems.

 

During the conference, attendees watched two videos, which presented and analyzed typical violations of rules, disciplines and laws. The aim was to unequivocally fight against corruption, send warning signals to Party members and cadres, educate Party members and cadres to learn from and discipline themselves with typical cases, and make consistent efforts to exercise full and rigorous governance over the Party.

Zhang conveyed the guiding principles of the Beijing municipal education conference on anti-corruption awareness and asked for efforts to tackle pressing issues as mentioned by Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee Yin Li, exercise self-discipline, draw lessons from typical cases, engage in in-depth analyses of existing problems faced with BWF in its work, shoulder political obligations, and push for full and rigorous self-discipline. First, women's federations at all levels in Beijing should shoulder their political obligations and further strengthen political building of the Party. Second, women's federations in Beijing should bolster their ideological foundations and enhance cohesion and forge the Party's soul with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Third, the federations should improve Party conduct and tighten discipline. Fourth, the federations should reinforce their oversight and hold those accountable for the violation of Party conduct and rules. Fifth, the federations should better fulfill their duties and consolidate the responsibility system toward exercising full and rigorous governance over the Party.

The education conference was an event to implement the guiding principles of the Beijing municipal education conference on anti-corruption awareness, draw lessons from the past, strengthen the ideological awareness and actions of Party members and cadres to oppose corruption, act on the important speech by General Secretary Xi during his meeting with new leadership of the All-China Women's Federation, and make arrangements over the implementation of all tasks and objectives set by the 13th National Women's Congress. Participants said that the education conference had further firmed up their confidence and resolve toward future work.

Wei Jiang, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President of the BWF, presided over the education conference. Those in attendance at the meeting also included Yue Jianyi, deputy head of the discipline inspection and supervisory group to the Beijing Municipal Federation of Trade Unions sent by Beijing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC and Beijing Municipal Supervisory Committee, all Party members and cadres of the BWF and director-general-level officials of the BWFs affiliated public institutions who worked at the BWF headquarters in Beijings sub-center Tongzhou.
