BWF Holds Lecture Event to Enhance Social Organizations' Qualifications

To act on the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th Communist Party of China Central Committee and the 15th Beijing Municipal Women's Congress, and bolster social organizations' political stance, political competence and professional qualities, Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) held a training session among social organizations under its administration from October 22 to 23. The two-day training event drew the attendance of 42 people, including heads and Party-building instructors of relevant social organizations.

 

The training session comprised a series of lectures, which aimed to further consolidate social organizations' political stance and enhance the level of their Party-building work. Yang Liping, secretary of the united Party branch of social organizations, presided over the opening ceremony. Representatives of the BWF's Department for Social Work fully affirmed the work of the united Party branch during the past year and came up with new requirements in terms of advancing theoretical study, raising Party-building awareness and implementing the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.

Zhang Yongying, deputy director-general and researcher of the Women's Studies Institute of China, Hu Weiwu, president and general-manager of Loongson Technology Corporation Limited, Wang Tao and Liu Hui, professors at China Women's University (CWU), were invited to give lectures during the training. They spoke about the study and implementation of the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee towards comprehensively deepening reform of women's federations, the efforts to tackle bottleneck issues and build new development paradigm, and the enhancement of cultural confidence through revitalization of traditional culture. With in-depth case analyses, their lectures were practical and relevant to the work of social organizations, winning high acclaims from attendees.

 

Li Jing with Beijing Women's Association for Science and Technology said the lectures helped her grasp a deep understanding of the essence of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, better figure out the mission, tasks and direction of the causes of women and children. She added that she will integrate theoretical knowledge with practical work of social organizations so as to strengthen the building and development of social organizations and serve families, women and children. Wang Jiayu, a representative from the Tao's Social Service Center, said the lectures made it clear to future work, helped her grasp a deep understanding of the importance of commanding core technologies and the awareness of fostering brands, broadened the mindset of activity design, and enhance ideological understanding as well as professional qualifications. Gan Bin, a representative from Beijing Yueying New Women Developing Center, said the lectures gave in-depth interpretation of policies and regulations and the analyses of current social phenomenon and international affairs.
