Beijing Women's Federation

A public lecture spreading the inspirational stories of Beijing's women role models was co-hosted by the Publicity Department of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) on November 7 at the headquarters of social media platform Weibo. The event organized women exemplary figures to speak about their experiences in new economic and social organizations and among new employment groups. The event was attended by nearly 200 women employees of Weibo.

Five delegates to the 15th Beijing Municipal Women's Congress, who come from cultural, transport and ecological sectors, related their own work and experiences to talk about their study and implementation of the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and personal endeavors to strive for outstanding performance at the workplace.

Luo Yangyang is head of the Blue Sky Rescue team's branch in Doudian Township of Fangshan District. She has firmly adhered to the principles of responding to call of the Party and saving people from dangers, taken part in over 100 rescue missions in mountainous and water areas and after Türkiye's earthquake (in February 2023) and the capital city's heavy rainfall (in the summer of 2023), safeguarded the lives of others and contributed to the building of a safe city with concrete actions.

Zhu Bingzhen is a performer in the Northern Kunqu Opera Theater. She has been dedicated to the performance of Kunqu Opera, the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese culture, the production of high-quality works, and she has told Chinese stories well, and promoted the development of Kunqu Opera with new connotation as well as expression forms.

Tian Ying is head of Mafang toll station under Beijing Capital Highway Development Group's Badaling Expressway Management Branch. During the past two decades, she has followed high working standards, consistently improved service quality, and made unique contributions to the capital city's public transportation. As a team leader, she has led her colleagues to take creative approaches in their research topics, accomplish multiple state-level service tasks, and fulfill obligations with concrete actions.

Jin Yingshan is director of the Institute of Ecological Restoration under Beijing Institute of Landscape and Forestry Architecture. Since the graduation with a doctoral degree 15 years ago, she has worked in forest farms, promoted the integrated development of landscape and forestry's industry-academia-research sector, and made noticeable contributions to the capital city's ecological conservation.

Zhao Mingming is vice-director of Beijing Legal Assistance Service Center. She has firmly adhered to the original aspiration and mission of lawful workers with love and sense of responsibility. She has followed the people-centered development philosophy, done utmost efforts to meet the demands of the people, and built the 12348 hotline into a lawful counselor for ordinary people.

Their inspirational stories won applause from the audience. During the Q&A session, they talked with women workers from Weibo about their thoughts. Attendees said that the event was known for its clear theme, rich connotation and emotion and that they were greatly inspired by the stories of speakers. In the next step, they will work hard and strive for higher achievements on the new journey in the new era.
