Participation of Beijing Women's Federation in the First International Female

The First International Female Leadership Forum – Power Beijing was held in Grand Hyatt Beijing on March 28, 2013. Zhou Zhijun, Vice Chairwoman of Beijing Women’s Federation, was invited to the forum and made keynote speech. 

The forum went through four parts: seminar, keynote speech, reception party and theme dinner, during which English was the only communication language. Ms. Zhou made a keynote speech in English and shared her development experience as a female leader, which obtained strong resonance and warm responses from the female participants. She also showed the achievements of Beijing Women’s Federation on promoting women development achieved to Chinese and foreign women and sent distinctive paper-cut works made by Women Artists Studio to the Forum. Besides, excellent females from all walks of life warmly discussed the female leadership and its influence, the balance between career and family, marketing under new economic system and other topics in the career development seminar and theme dinner. Deirdre Joy Smith, Founder and President of Female Leadership Development Program, Zhao Jing, CEO of China Wise, Gail Evans, former Senior Vice President of CNN and Lei Zhang Schlitz from ITW (a global cooling, packaging, food and equipment group) shared their experience and perceptions. Women from different cultures, industries and positions exchanged their ideas, gained inspirations and developed friendships during honest communications in a warm atmosphere.

Female Leadership Forum (Power) is intended to provide a special platform that can promote and develop their competitiveness and leadership skills for female leaders who are occupied in senior management and have great development potentials. Since the first success in America of 2004, the forum has been strongly supported by many international groups, American social institutions and female organizations. The activity was the first overseas forum of the Program, which was attended by hundreds of American senior female executives as well as Chinese and foreign female leaders working in China’s large enterprises and organizations, and reported by China Daily, Sohu and other media.
