Reception of Ethiopian Women's Delegation from Beijing Women’s Federation
Date:2013-4-17 16:10:13 Views:During April 15-16 of 2013, Beijing Women’s Federation received friendly 11-person Women's Delegation from Ethiopia with Shitaye Tizazu, Vice Chairwoman of Ethiopian House of People's Representatives and president of women’s team in Congress as the head of the Delegation.
Chairwoman Zhao Jinfang accompanied the delegation on visits of the first Beijing Agricultural Carnival in Changping District, Tianrun Garden of Women’s Agriculture Science and Technology Demonstration Base as well as Yulin Farm of Beijing “Learning and Comparison” Demonstration Base.
President Zhao introduced new situations and features of Beijing women and children work, especially the 100 million of funds invested in women’s entrepreneurship and employment by Beijing municipal government in recent two years, RMB 830 million of product sales of Women Artists Studio with the promotion of Women’s Federation and other outstanding achievements.
Shitaye Tizazu expressed thanks to President Zhao and Beijing Women’s Federation and said she had benefited a lot from the visit, not only keenly understanding the role of China’s economic development in promoting people’s livelihood, but also seeing Beijing women’s harmonious and happy life and warm and friendly attitudes to Ethiopian women.
