2013 Beijing International Women Festival, held by Beijing International Exchange Center for Women, Beijing Family Construction Promotion Association and Beijing Society for the Study of Marriage and Family with the guidance of Beijing Women’s Federation, is the first “international theatre festival” that focuses on women and was officially incorporated in “Meet in Beijing” Program of 2013 held by Ministry of Culture. Its special women’s humanistic perspective has been accepted and supported by all sectors of society.
Themed on “ceremony of love”, 2013 Beijing International Women Festival presented the audiences with 39 wonderful performances of eight programs from Austria, South Korea, China Mainland, China Taiwan and other countries and regions, as well as eight theme activities, including General Review List of Women Theatre, Urban Women Forum, Charitable Activities, Theme Salon, Art Exhibition, Art Studio and so on, which brought along a series of excellent cultural activities and explored the construction of female sprit and lifestyle. More than 100 diligent famous actors and actresses performed on the stage, attracting about ten thousand of field audiences and 50,000 participants. Over one hundred media reported it continuously and 3 million people spread accumulatively.
