She observed that in recent years, the Association has guided female professors in the capital to excel in their respective roles and deliver exceptional outcomes; to demonstrate initiative and determination in advancing the integrated development of education, science and technology, and talent; to shoulder key responsibilities in cultivating high-caliber talent and strengthening scientific and technological self-reliance; to expand international exchange and cooperation; and to play an active role in promoting the development of women and children’s causes in Beijing.
Zhang also expressed the hope that the Association would further strengthen guidance on values and professional orientation among female professors, encouraging them to become builders of major national endeavors, advocates of positive and civilized social values, and determined pursuers of their aspirations. She called on the Association to pool strength in talent cultivation, with a focus on fostering top innovative talent; to contribute women’s insight to high-quality development and inject sustained “she wisdom” into the development of Beijing as an international center for scientific and technological innovation; and to demonstrate responsibility in fostering a healthy society by guiding female professors to fully embody their unique roles in both social and family life, adding that these efforts would further consolidate the Association’s leadership, expand its influence, and improve its service capacity.

Speaking on behalf of the supervisory authority, Zou praised the 6th Council for the notable achievements it has delivered over the past five years, noting that it consistently upheld the spirit of the Four Self campaign while closely aligning with Beijing’s development as the Four Centers.
He described female professors as a key driving force behind the capital’s high-quality development and expressed the expectation that the new Council would strengthen its sense of responsibility, contribute to the development of Beijing as the leading demonstration zone in building a strong education system, deepen its commitment to education, and carry forward the spirit of educators.
Zou further urged the Council to guide female professors in setting positive social values through their combined roles as university faculty members, family leaders, and responsible citizens. In addition, he emphasized the need to strengthen standardized governance and to build a distinctive and influential brand among Beijing’s social organizations.
