Beijing Women's Federation

In the run-up to the 114th International Women's Day, which falls on March 8, officials of Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) paid visits to a wide range of grassroots women at their workplace and extended festive greetings to them.

Zhang Yajun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and President of the BWF, brought daily necessities and conveyed festive greetings to women workers when she visited the 10th fleet of the 3rd Passengers Transport Company of Beijing Public Transport Corporation. She spoke highly of the firm adherence to the principle of "putting safety first" and the contributions made by women transport workers to the building of a convenient transport environment. She expressed thanks to them for their efforts to ensure normal operation of the capital city.

 

Zhang also visited women sanitation workers of Tian'anmen Environment Services Center with Beijing Huanwei Group's mechanical sweeping company, extended festive greetings to them, and showed thanks to them for their efforts to build a clean and tidy environment of the capital city.

 

 

Wei Jiang, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President of the BWF, paid a visit to women delivery workers of leading domestic food delivery platform Ele.me in Chaoyang district's CBD area. She sent to them festive greetings and daily necessities, showed thanks to them for their efforts to make urban life better, and asked them to take care of personal safety and health and strike a balance between work and rest.

 

Tan Hong, Member of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President of the BWF, visited staff workers of Beijing Jialehui Household Management Services Co., Ltd, conveyed festive greetings to them, expressed thanks to them for their contributions, and encouraged them to work harder, further expand the scale and improve the service quality of domestic services.

 

Zhao Hongwei, Member of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President of the BWF, presided over a symposium on the cooperative cultivation of talents, which was jointly held by the BWF and Beijing Society of School Moral Education in the Experimental Huaxia Girls' School affiliated with Beijing Normal University. Guan Guozhen, president of the research society, sent festive greetings to women school and kindergarten principals and held in-depth talks over cooperative talent cultivation.

 

Chen Yanping, Member of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President of the BWF, visited some local women procurators working on the protection of the legal rights and interests of women and children, engaged in talks with Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate over how to better safeguard the lawful rights and interest of women and children, and called on them to continuously leverage their roles in promoting the capital city's high-quality development.

 

Women from all social sectors have fulfilled their responsibilities, shown their talent and played a vital role in further advancing economic growth and improving the livelihoods of the public. The arrangement of visits to women across the capital city has shown the sincere caring of the Party and the government to them. In its next step, the BWF will fully leverage its leadership and service functions, continue to play the role of a bridge and bond, show deep care and love toward women, and pool the wisdom and strength of women toward pushing for the high-quality development of the capital's economy and society.
