Beijing Women's Federation

The seventh meeting of the 12th Executive Committee of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) was held, in Beijing, on September 21.

Important instructions by the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on the preparatory work for the upcoming 13th National Women's Congress of China were conveyed and studied at the meeting.

Participants deliberated on and passed the draft resolution on submitting the work report of the congress for deliberation, and the draft resolution on submitting Constitution of the All-China Women's Federation (Amendment) for deliberation.

Shen Yueyue, ACWF President, attended and addressed the meeting. Huang Xiaowei, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, presided over the meeting. Huang conveyed the guiding principles of the important instructions by the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee.

Women's federations, Shen stressed, should fully study, understand and implement important discourses by General Secretary Xi Jinping on the work related to women and children as well as the work of women's federations, carry out work involving women in the correct direction, fulfill the responsibilities in guiding, serving and connecting women, mobilize and guide women to strive to undertake great causes, be advocates of civility and dream-chasing trailblazers, follow the Party and its guidance, and forge ahead on the new journey and make achievements in new era.

Shen said women's federations should deepen their study and implementation of the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress, follow the requirements of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, consolidate the political stance, make thorough preparation for the opening of the 13th National Women's Congress of China in high standards and quality, and pool the strength of women in the building of a strong country and the realization of national rejuvenation.
