Invited by the Hong Kong Federation of Women, the Beijing Women's Association for Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan Compatriots and Overseas Chinese organized group members of the Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) and women's committees of democratic parties to take part in the second Women Power Forum via video link in Beijing on October 23. The activity helped improve communication and mutual understanding of women in Beijing and Hong Kong, and expressed sincere support of women in Beijing for the Women Power Forum.
The launch ceremony for the science and technology professionals' committee of the Beijing Women Professors' Association (BWPA) was held online on October 24. Chen Yanping, Vice-President of the Beijing Women's Federation, Sun Zhaoping, head of the Liaison Department of the BWF, attended the meeting. Attendees also included heads and members of the board of directors of the BWPA, special guests and female professors from universities.
The fourth general assembly of the Beijing Women's Association for External Exchange (BWAEE) was held on October 23 in Beijing. The work report of the association's third council was deliberated on and approved during the meeting, and new boards of directors and supervisors were elected. Wang Shuixia, President of the BWAEE, was elected to serve for another term of office.
The China final of the fifth She Loves Tech Global Startup Competition 2021 was successfully held online on October 23 under the guidance of the Beijing Women's Federation (BWF). With the theme "SheTechsCharge," the competition aims to showcase the leading role women can play in science and technology and inspire more women in sci-tech innovation.
The Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) held a conference themed on "taking cases as a mirror to promoting rectification" on October 18 in order to deeply study and implement the spirit of a recent conference on discipline education held by the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, especially the spirit of Secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee Cai Qi's speech at the meeting.
